How to Really Be A Good Helper to God

The earth has a spiritual problem. A spiritual problem is never addressed with physical effort, only YIELDING what we could do to what God WILL do if we give Him our part of the world.

Overwhelming need is overtaking the world.  That need prompts self-righteousness. It's automatic. It's where flesh that wants good goes if it is unchecked by the restrainer.

Resist giving in to self righteousness, self saving, rallying, gathering together the like-minded, etc.  if you truly want to be helpful to the earth.

Man believes he is more concerned about war, pain, injustice, and lack than God is.  That is literally crazy.

God hears the cries of the broken.  He tells us to give ourselves to Him, not be God to the broken. If I give myself to God, He is SURE to see to the needs all around me.  He may or may not use me, but His help is sure.

There is no disconnect in seeing need and not turning into the need, but turning into God. That is the way heaven comes, not with forces mustered, but hearts laid down.

There is great need in families, marriages, cities, etc.  in every sector of society there is injustice, lack, and need.  God is God over all, but He waits until we stop self saving to start saving.

Breakdowns in man's strength will become more and more severe as God tries to shake our grip loose of what should be handed over to Him.

I am tempted to be concerned about what I care most about... Even more than I am concerned about me, I worry about my children, those dear to me, those being hurt by injustice... But God has been GOOD to me. He will be good to all those I am concerned for. Not only will He, HE IS BEING good to all.  What we see unfolding is the best chance all have to be drawn into God's leadership.

Romans 8:23-29 NLT — And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.) And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Jesus didn't attend to every perceived need. Jesus attended to the Father's will.  That is the true need the earth has.

Will I give all my concerns to Him? Will I let go of the pride of my concern and enthrone Him over them in my praise of Him... My belief that He will be good to those I am concerned for?

The only help I can truly be is a help led in real time by God, not taking God's vision of what is good and becoming concerned about it being manifest.  That is theft, not help.

No, when I see God's vision of what is good, I need to begin living into it in faith, not trying to steer the world into it through my doubt in God's ability to be good... The heart is very tricky.  It is always taking God's good and turning it into man's work.  That is the fall manifest over and over and what it brings is desolation, not habitation.

What the world truly needs is God, not man trying harder to be God.

Psalm 73:1-28 NLT — A psalm of Asaph. Truly God is good to Israel, to those whose hearts are pure. But as for me, I almost lost my footing. My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone. For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness. They seem to live such painless lives; their bodies are so healthy and strong. They don’t have troubles like other people; they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else. They wear pride like a jeweled necklace and clothe themselves with cruelty. These fat cats have everything their hearts could ever wish for! They scoff and speak only evil; in their pride they seek to crush others. They boast against the very heavens, and their words strut throughout the earth. And so the people are dismayed and confused, drinking in all their words. “What does God know?” they ask. “Does the Most High even know what’s happening?” Look at these wicked people— enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply. Did I keep my heart pure for nothing? Did I keep myself innocent for no reason? I get nothing but trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain. If I had really spoken this way to others, I would have been a traitor to your people. So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is! Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction. In an instant they are destroyed, completely swept away by terrors. When you arise, O Lord, you will laugh at their silly ideas as a person laughs at dreams in the morning. Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside. I was so foolish and ignorant— I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. Those who desert him will perish, for you destroy those who abandon you. But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

THIS^ is how the Holy Spirit breaks yokes, takes away the pointing finger, and lifts burdens THROUGH man.  The flesh wants to do these things by might, power and strength, but God says, "by my Spirit."

God, get the church, including me, out of its own head and into your Spirit!
