Positions of Authority

Because God arranged His kingdom in order, there are positions of authority. The positions exist whether or not we realize it, look for it, occupy it, or submit to it.

We need to value the positions of authority around us. We should be realizing authority....Looking for it, occupying our own positions of authority, and submitting to authority around us. The enemy is looking to squat...To occupy un-tended positions of authority, and steal authority in places he can get away with it.

Matthew 12:43“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.

44“Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.

45“Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Daniel 10:12Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.

13“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.

14“Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

God's order is not heirarchical in the sense we might imagine, Satan's is.

God's kingdom operates in voluntary love. There is heirachy, but the value system is mostly counter to power in the way we understand power. God's heirarchical system values humility as the greatest strength, and service as the greatest expression of humility...Counting one's own rights as preserved by the Father, which frees me to look after someone else's rights.

Phillippians 2:5 this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

6who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

7but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

9Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

11and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

That said, you must look for, occupy, and submit to authority to freely operate in the true body. If you leave a position of your own service/authority unoccupied...Because you think that is more "humble" ... To have no authority...Then you are simply giving over a kingdom position to the enemy. If you assert your own authority, demanding others line up under your "kingdom" position, you may actually be occupying as a usurper...A representative of the theif also. This is essential to grasp.

David took his position of authority and then enthroned the Lord on it. This was the point of the 24/7 worship movement David orchestrated: to enthrone God on the praises of Israel....To give God the throne given to David. This is the ultimate act of humility....To realize what has been given to you and then offer it to the Lord without leaving it unoccupied.

Revelation 4:Who was and is and is to come!”

9Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

10the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

11“You are worthy, O Lord,

To receive glory and honor and power;

For You created all things,

And by Your will they exist and were created.”

This is different than being hands off. This is being a servant and letting God be the source and reward for service. This risky and selfless act will be rewarded with greatness forever, because it actually agrees with the command structure that will exist forever.

This can be applied in tons of practical ways. For example, a home needs a leader. Someone in the household should lead it. They lead it best by worshiping and praying that Jesus would come lead the family. It isn't humble for me to not act like fFather....To abandon my post for fear of being a leader...It is humble for me to be a dad submitted to a better Father.

Your "person" needs a leader, as well. This is what makes the spirit a better leader than your heart...Or mind, will, and emotions. The spirit, filled with the Holy Spirit , protects us from the enemy's attempts to assume leadership using our thoughts, feelings, will, or appetites to drive us...When my heart listens to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, I am free from traps that lead to death:

2 Corinthians 3:14But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.

15But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.

16Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

17Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Church meetings should operate the same way. Leaving leadership unoccupied isn't humble, it's careless....But assertion of position doesn't agree with God either. Enthroning God on our praise and prayer in the position given to us is the kingdom way to operate:

Luke 22:25And He said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’

26“But not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves.

27“For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.

28“But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials.

29“And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me,

30“that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

When the church comes to this SERVANT minded reality, we will actually find ourselves operating as family in the kingdom of our Father, then other positions will no longer be relevant. Sons and daughters...That's the goal for the Body of Christ....For the Bride. The legal family position of sons and daughters in law...Covenant united to Jesus. Not to abdicate position, but rather empowered to rightly occupy position.

Ephesians 4:10He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

13till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

14that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

15but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—

16from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
