Knowledge Without Humility Disqualifies
It is important to not just know what God wants, but to actually do it.
James 1:22 NKJV — But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
It is pure delusion to preach to others what we are unwilling to recognize our own need for:
1 Corinthians 9:25-27 NKJV — And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
Being annoyed that others aren't pursuing God like I think they should be is unlike God! When I fall into this mindset, I'M no longer pursuing Him!
The kingdom of Yeshua is an inside-out one. God arranged all the growth of the body of Messiah from inside out.
Satan's main strategy is to get us into delusion where we fault find everything but ourselves in our connection to the body. This is a flesh-counterfeit of letting God search us, identify our poverty, convict us and give us cause to mourn, which opens our heart and allows us to RECEIVE something. That is what it really means to be a "doer" of the word.
There are many preachers
...
According to the word itself, most are false because they preach and become disqualified. They are ravenous, not peaceful, on the inside:
Matthew 7:12-16 NKJV — “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
We must be doers of the word, but this is the catch: we are weak. We don't do what God wants on our own. So we must be askers and receivers ourselves. We can't really ask for someone else. We cannot really receive for someone else.
The way we are truly in agreement with God as He grows His body is to let the kingdom into us and shine. Browbeating others, gossipping, complaining, finger pointing... These are unlike God, and therefore resist His kingdom. It's a false flesh counterfeit of letting God in.
The best thing I can do to grow the kingdom of God is to let it grow in me... Then, as I really shine, I can know with confidence that whether or not the world receives Him, I have!
Matthew 16:25-27 NKJV — “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
Religious pride always wants to occupy the place humility should have in my heart. The only way to remove religious pride is to renew my mind in the word, not focusing on what should be done for God, but on what God wants done in me. If I let God take me by the hand, He will certainly establish me for a life of good works. We don't do them for God, we walk through them with Him!
Ephesians 2:10 NKJV — For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
