For the end time prophetic promises of Isaiah to be fulfilled, Assyria needed to be reborn. Assyria invented terrorism in ancient times. They were the ones that hung people on spikes to scare others into submission...
But Assyria wasn't the end of the story. Assyria simply made Israel ready for the fulfillment of the judgment that would come through Babylon's King Nebuchadnezzar, who was one of the first pictures of the antichrist to come.
History is repeating itself. ISIS is the end time Assyria, with its capital in Nineveh, which is modern day Mosul, Iraq. They are simply the tool of God to make Israel ready for the antichrist to come in and take over the temple mount. This passage is describing ISIS:
Isaiah 10.12-14.nkjv Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.” For he says: “By the strength of my hand I have done it, And by my wisdom, for I am prudent; Also I have removed the boundaries of the people, And have robbed their treasuries; So I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man. My hand has found like a nest the riches of the people, And as one gathers eggs that are left, I have gathered all the earth; And there was no one who moved his wing, Nor opened his mouth with even a peep.”
But God says "this isn't the worst of it". yes, ISIS seems to have perfected terrorism, but there is a bigger fish coming. At just the right time, God is going to use the antichrist...The end time Nebuchadnezzar who leads that last global superpower, to wipe out ISIS....and then Nebuchadnezzar is going to lay siege to Jerusalem.
ISIS was allowed to rise up by the antichrist, and the antichrist could take out ISIS any time he wanted....he is waiting until ISIS has done it's work. It is the "overflowing scourge" that is scaring the middle east into bad agreements with the antichrist:
Isaiah 28.14-22.nkjv Therefore hear the word of the Lord , you scornful men, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.” Therefore thus says the Lord God : “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place. Your covenant with death will be annulled, And your agreement with Sheol will not stand; When the overflowing scourge passes through, Then you will be trampled down by it. As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report.” For the bed is too short to stretch out on, And the covering so narrow that one cannot wrap himself in it. For the Lord will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be angry as in the Valley of Gibeon— That He may do His work, His awesome work, And bring to pass His act, His unusual act. Now therefore, do not be mockers, Lest your bonds be made strong; For I have heard from the Lord God of hosts, A destruction determined even upon the whole earth.
Israel has made some very bad decisions with some very bad men and women, thinking it would protect her from ISIS...but now they are beginning to realize that the one that promised to protect them is much more dangerous than the overflowing scourge in pickup trucks and on horseback.... The promise of protection will be broken and Jerusalem will be taken into captivity.
This is all unfolding right before your baby blues. Do you have eyes to see it? There is only one safe place. The safe place is agreeing with the "unusual plan" God has to make people safe in the end times: the rebuilding of David's Tabernacle as a safe place in the storm:
Psalm .27.4-5.nkjv One thing I have desired of the Lord , That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord , And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
David's Tabernacle is a very specific kind of prayer meeting where a community comes together to pray as their end time solution to the increasing trouble. It is corporate repentance, which simply means a whole community of people that tries to agree with God together, from the nursing babies , all the way to old men. God promises over and over in the Bible that this is the only plan that will work. It takes time to build. It takes selflessness to take part in. It is the place where prophecy is released and intercession is offered, it is the ark....The boat...in the flood of trouble. It is the high place....The mountain of the Lord that the flood will not overtake. It is the upper room where power is tarried for and received. It is the barn the end time harvest will be brought into:
Amos 9.9-12.nkjv “For surely I will command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations, As grain is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground. All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’ “On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” Says the Lord who does this thing.
Are you ready? It is an usual plan. Don't mock it or it will be very hard for you to escape the coming flood. Not many will preach it, but it is the only safe place. Noah built the ark before the flood. Can you hear the storm coming?
Matthew .24.36-39.nkjv “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
