Judgement
Its not popular to talk about, but judgment IS coming. That is actually the problem. Few are talking about it. Entire theologies have been developed to shame people who do talk about it...but those theologies are false. The Bible is quite clear about that:
2 Peter 2:1-9 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. 4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)— 9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
Every writer of the New Testament, who all wrote of the final generation, warned of both the judgment AND those who would deny it was coming.
There is a very false theology that says no judgment should come...if we would only pray it away...this makes every earthquake bad, every consequence for sin something to be pushed aside by prayers...not prayers of repentance, but rather prayers of assumption...lawlessly using authority to keep the day of the Lord at bay. This is a deception.
Judgment isn't coming because we don't pray...judgment is coming BECAUSE the godly are promised TO pray. And what will cause them to pray?...judgment!:
Luke 18:7-8 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"
One of the main false theologies of the day is that we can avoid judgment yet hang onto the comfort of a world begging to be judged. You cannot. This false desire denies the sovereignty of God and his decision to LOVE mankind. Love requires the choice to reject love, which the world, and very specifically the USA, is directly choosing in this hour. Jesus said "if you love me, obey me."
John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.
John 14:24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.
The world, led mostly by the USA, is currently, more and more, rejecting Jesus' definition of love. Judgment is what the world is requesting. The world wants its definition of love to be proven, or judged, true or false.... judgment is coming.
Jesus warned over and over for His people to be ready for this judgment:
Matthew 24:36-45 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
This passage isn't describing the rapture...it is describing the cost of the end time judgment...the loss. Noah was ready for the flood. Part of Noah's readiness was PREACHING repentance, preaching that judgment would come...remember what Peter said?
-Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness-
This is the same thing Jesus said about being wise...being ready:
- "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?-
If you were truly ready, what you would be doing is warning others of the flood that is coming. If you aren't warning, you aren't ready. "Food in due season" is the word of God at just the right time. Do you know the season? Do you know the word? Are you a preacher of righteousness warning of the judgment that MUST come?... or are you another?..do you mostly hope Jesus won't come? If you want Him to come home, then you want His judgment to precede His coming. It is the only way He is coming because He loves people and wants them ready to receive Him.
Hebrews 11:6-7 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
Preaching the judgments because you love Jesus results in truly loving people. Knowing the end time plans...learning to love the judgments, will cause many to be made ready. Claiming that judgment is not of God directly goes against the Bible and it falsely leaves the world entirely unprepared for the events promised to come. Some earthquakes are God's earthquakes...praying against them is literally praying against God's very specific plans. Some earthquakes are exactly what God will use to turn hearts to repentance and give glory to God:
Revelation 11:13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Much of the earth is woefully unprepared for what is speeding at us like a freight train. If you want to be counted wise...eat the scroll...the food for this hour...promised to bless:
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
You can't feed anyone else what you don't have. It is time to learn to love the judgments. Loving the judgments is loving the return of Jesus. I hear many in this hour "taking away" from these prophetic promises of judgment. This will cost many their own security:
Revelation 22:19-21 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
He is only going to return with seven seals broken, seven trumpets blown, and seven bowls poured out. Even so, those who love Him want Him to come.
Psalms 19:9-11 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.
