The Cry of Creation
All of creation isn't groaning for apostles, pastors, prophets, teachers, and evangelists to emerge... No. Creation is groaning for SONS to be revealed:
Romans 8:19For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
20For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
21because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
23Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
Apostles, Pastors, et al, were given UNTIL...until what?
Ephesians 4:11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
13till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
15but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
16from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
The five-fold is a temporary help, not a position of honor. True five-fold knows who it is...it is working towards a body...not leaders separate from people, but rather the greatest serving the most and calling others into places of honor.
Right now, at just precisely the wrong time, the false is going for apostolic and prophetic titles and identities... They take on, and insist on, titles of honor. This is outdated...outmoded...out of sync with the hour of history we are in.
The true is going another way...the true is going to become a body...a Bride...not a pyramid, but rather a circle...gazing on the throne, becoming like Him, helping others get closer by revelation. Circling an infinitely big God and drawing closer and closer.
The false apostles, pastors, and prophets keep, and even hide, revelation... They don't believe in a body, they believe in a pyramid with a few at the top. They broker esoteric knowledge, so it can be profited from...trading power for loyalty...building a false and unsustainable structure.
The true are drawing closer to the one who is infinite...who gives freely...who is uncovering... revealing...who wants everyone to be a son.
Who are you following? What will become of you?
Revelation 2:18“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:
19“I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.
20“Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
21“And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.
22“Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
23“I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
24“Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden.
25“But hold fast what you have till I come.
26“And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—
27‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—
as I also have received from My Father;
28“and I will give him the morning star.
29“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’
It matters who you honor..it matters who you follow.
Matthew 23:4“For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5“But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.
6“They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
7“greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’
8“But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.
9“Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
10“And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.
11“But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12“And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
13“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
