Look for Fruit

Look for the fruit:. Is it peaceful? Is it faithful and unafraid? Does it express love for people? Does it express trust in God despite circumstance....does it elevate God above man's ability to thwart Him? Is it hopeful in the miraculous, or does it bind God to circumstance? Is it kind? Is it gentle? Is it patient? Is it true?...

Look for fruit.

Matthew 7:13“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

14“Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

15“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

16“You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

17“Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

18“A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.

19“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20“Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

22“Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

24“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

25“and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:

27“and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

28And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,

29for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

The storm IS coming...no vote is going to keep the storm away...it is written. How will you fare in the storm? That is what your vote is about...because that is what your voice...your words...are about. What is your strength? You are picking in a major way today what your next few years will look like.

Don't pick it without God. Ask Him. He will speak to your heart if you get quiet with Him for a few minutes and just ask Him and wait on the answer. He might surprise you.

If God can't come through today in His own way and in His own plan, is He God?... Or is the god mostly being preached simply a construct of man's desire and fear? Is he a god formed by consensus, or separate in His holiness?

I want no image of Him. I want Him. He's real. He's powerful. He's uncompromising. He is eager to save any that turn to Him and relent from the ways that obviously don't work anyway.

Revelation 13:4So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

5And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.

6Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.

7It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

8All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9If anyone has an ear, let him hear.

10He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

This storm will come. How will it come to you and yours?
