A Light Burden and Easy Yolk

Galatians 5:5For each one shall bear his own load. 6Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. 7Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

The light burden and easy yoke of the Lord is still a burden and a yoke.

As Jesus returns, His precepts are essential to know and to do. It is the weight of His return that presses on many believers. This weight is intended to conform the heart to His. Day by day, this is easy and light, but put off, it becomes a great weight.

2 Corinthians 4:16Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

The answer is to open the heart and accept what the Lord is doing. Many will feel the weight dissolve as they simply open their hearts and accept that they need to change to be more understanding of Jesus' ways and receive more truth of the time we are in.

Ignoring the news hasn't helped, it's only made the weight seem unbearable, which it is. We either accept the truth and let Jesus carry it from the inside out, or we keep resisting and find ourselves crushed by the very thing we thought we wanted, which is the return of Jesus.

Isaiah 21:3Therefore my loins are filled with pain;
Pangs have taken hold of me, like the pangs of a woman in labor.
I was distressed when I heard it;
I was dismayed when I saw it.
4My heart wavered, fearfulness frightened me;
The night for which I longed He turned into fear for me.

His yoke is easy and burden light, but only as accepted each day. Taking on tomorrow's weight is too much, but letting yesterday's weight pile up is also too much.

Hebrews 6:1Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
2of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3And this we will do if God permits.
4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
5and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,
6if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

I have taught the end times for several years. One consistent observation I have witnessed is that truly studying the main and plain end time plan with a right heart takes weights off, it doesn't add them. People who didn't want to believe we would face tribulation, once they hear what tribulation is for, often feel great zeal and joy for what the Lord is doing. Some never let their heart be moved and stay in fear, but many get free of fear.

The tribulation is unfolding all around you. It is becoming more and more of a weight. Now is the time to embrace what is happening and let the weight be born by the one who owns it!

Matthew 11:28“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
