Response

Did you know that right now angels are recording the response of God's people to the trouble engulfing their cities or regions?

Malachi 3:15So now we call the proud blessed, For those who do wickedness are raised up; They even tempt God and go free.’ ” 16Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name. 17“They shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts. “On the day that I make them My jewels and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” 18Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

Did you know that the way to get 'sealed' or protected from the further increases of judgment is to pray...specifically to repent...of your sins and the sins of your city?

Revelation 7:1After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. 2Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

Did you know that ultimately understanding that it's the city of Jerusalem being corrupted with these same sins is the goal of the judgments? The lack of truth, justice, righteousness, mercy, and love in Jerusalem is keeping the earth from getting what it is crying out for. The judgments described in Revelation will bring the earth to this knowledge. Did you know that is the purpose of the judgments described in the Book of Revelation? You are sealed, or set apart from the judgment, once you know this and respond to it!

Ezekiel 9:1Then He called out in my hearing with a loud voice, saying, “Let those who have charge over the city draw near, each with a deadly weapon in his hand.” 2And suddenly six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his battle-ax in his hand. One man among them was clothed with linen and had a writer’s inkhorn at his side. They went in and stood beside the bronze altar. 3Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side; 4and the LORD said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.” 5To the others He said in my hearing, “Go after him through the city and kill; do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity. 6“Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple. 7Then He said to them, “Defile the temple, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” And they went out and killed in the city.

The Earth is lacking justice and righteousness. It's lacking truth and peace. It is lacking mercy and love.

All of these things come from the one who made the earth to live forever in justice, righteousness, truth, peace, mercy, and love. These all come from the one who is totally unlike all that He created. Jesus is the source of these things! Jesus is going to rule from the city of Jerusalem once it invites Him to come and rule:

Matthew 23:37“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 38“See! Your house is left to you desolate; 39“for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ ”

Jesus is literally married to the city of Jerusalem. If we are His, we need to have a primary cry in our hearts that it would see that....that the world would see it!

Jeremiah 3:14“Return, O backsliding children,” says the LORD; “for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. 15“And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. 16“Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says the LORD, “that they will say no more, ‘The ark of the covenant of the LORD.’ It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore. 17“At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.

Ironically, many who claim to be a part of Jesus don't see him as relevant to the earth actually living in these qualities of life. That means we have a hard time seeing Jerusalem connected to our own salvation...to our own deliverance. We are called to intercede on her behalf, and in order to do that, we must be living in the same justice, righteousness, mercy, truth, and love we are praying for her to experience. For it to be true, we have to put ourselves in the place of correction where we lack these things:

Matthew 7:2“For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3“And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4“Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5“Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Isaiah 52:7How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things,

Who proclaims salvation,

Who says to Zion,

“Your God reigns!”

8Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the LORD brings back Zion. 9Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.

The American church is missing the mark on justice, righteousness, mercy, truth, and love as it argues back and forth on things Jesus isn't really talking about. So justice and truth falls not only in our streets, but in the city of the great king. We have been deceived into judging between good and evil instead of obeying the wise and simple.

We need to let Jesus correct us into the right expression of standing for truth, justice, and righteousness. We might sing his songs, we might go to church, but we don't let ourselves be corrected into justice, righteousness, truth, mercy, and love....judging from social media and the news, we just assume everyone else needs to be.

The cure for this delusion is to mourn the lack of justice in our own city and our own hearts, the lack of righteousness, mercy, truth, and love where we are ... From the inside out.

Social media has revealed the heart of Babylon in the church! This was the promise in Genesis 11 and Daniel 12:4.

The lure of interconnectedness is to disconnect from the place we can really change things and think that those far from us and higher than us need to change and THEN everything will get better.

It is a mistake to think 'they' (whoever they is) are the problem. The problem isn't homosexuals, liberals, conservatives, politicians, whites, blacks, immigrants, church leaders, satanists, Muslims...the list is now so long, but so irrelevant. Jesus didn't come to change 'them,' he came to change me:

John 17:8“For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. 9“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10“And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11“Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12“While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13“But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

....the problem is us. We don't need those we disagree with to change. We don't need leaders to change. Leaders reflect what we long for...what we buy....what we pay attention to. If we change, the leadership of the church WILL change, because there will be no market for corruption. We get the leadership that reflects what we really value. Always. There is no such thing as a king without subjects.

This means repentance unto clearly seeing my own junk, and then in that clarity being able to intercede for the things the Lord sees, is only way to be safe in the trouble tailor-made to extract this humble response from the earth.

This is what it means to be sealed. Being sealed isn't just being 'saved.' It means to be a servant that mourns the absence of their master. Those sealed moan and sigh over the abominations in their heart, their family, their church, their city, and ultimately, as they take the log out of their own eye, they can see what has corrupted the city of the great king. They intercede in spirit and truth and that city is cleansed in truth.

That is where this is all going.

Jeremiah 5:1“Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem; See now and know; And seek in her open places If you can find a man, If there is anyone who executes judgment, Who seeks the truth, And I will pardon her. 2Though they say, ‘As the LORD lives,’ Surely they swear falsely.” 3O LORD, are not Your eyes on the truth? You have stricken them, But they have not grieved; You have consumed them, But they have refused to receive correction

They have made their faces harder than rock; They have refused to return. 4Therefore I said, “Surely these are poor. They are foolish; For they do not know the way of the LORD, The judgment of their God.
