Sanctification
1 Kings 21:21‘Behold, I will bring calamity on you. I will take away your posterity, and will cut off from Ahab every male in Israel, both bond and free.
22‘I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, because of the provocation with which you have provoked Me to anger, and made Israel sin.’
23“And concerning Jezebel the LORD also spoke, saying, ‘The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.’
24“The dogs shall eat whoever belongs to Ahab and dies in the city, and the birds of the air shall eat whoever dies in the field.”
25But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the LORD, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up.
The Lord was not at peace with Ahab. Even though Ahab repented, the Lord brought about this promise for him.
Who was at peace with Ahab was Jehoshaphat. This was recorded forever as an offense to God.
1 Kings 22:42Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
43And he walked in all the ways of his father Asa. He did not turn aside from them, doing what was right in the eyes of the LORD. Nevertheless the high places were not taken away, for the people offered sacrifices and burned incense on the high places.
44Also Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.
This is what the Lord said to Jehoshaphat:
2 Chronicles 19:2And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Therefore the wrath of the LORD is upon you.
3“Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”
I don't want to be at peace with those God isn't at peace with, and I don't want to be at odds with those God isn't at odds with.
I can bless, I can pray for, I can honor...but there can be no partnership between light and dark.
The fear of the Lord is beginning of wisdom. Right now, iron and clay partnerships are breaking down. This will result in a great trouble. The answer is oneness with Jesus.
This only happens by sanctification and a partnership of light. This is the great error the church has made...thinking it could partner with darkness and still get light.
John 17:14“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.
16“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
18“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
19“And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
20“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
21“that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
22“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
23“I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
2 Cor 6:14Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
15And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
16And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
17Therefore
“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”
18“I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the LORD Almighty.”
22‘I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, because of the provocation with which you have provoked Me to anger, and made Israel sin.’
