Repentance and Forgiveness
What is the good news? Repentance and forgiveness.
It isn't anything other than that. We GET to repent, which just means agree with God, and He is willing to forgive us for our wrong thinking and wrong actions.
The gospel isn't about winning the world by force or by argument. The good news is that we can let Jesus win OUR hearts and then get freedom from impatience, hate, fear and anger. The life produced by being conquered by love makes us one with everyone else repenting and experiencing forgiveness. That is what Jesus will use to demonstrate who He is to the world.
Satan is literally baiting the church into arguments Jesus isn't having. This is to pull us out of being conquered ourselves.
A conquered church is the true church that walks in power...the one ready to be conquered itself...the Antichrist goes OUT to conquer (Rev 6:2). The real church goes IN to be conquered.
Luke 24:47“and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48“And you are witnesses of these things.
49“Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”
There is a false church. It has arguments with people Jesus isn't arguing with. It is falling into an antichrist mentality of "worship like we do or be subdued by us." It wants all the signs wonders and miracles of Jesus without any of the humility and submission to Jesus' values. We are witnessing the falling away right now. They say they are His but He does not know them. Their own fear, anger, arrogance and hatred keeps Him out of the garden of their hearts. But they still want to conquer the world in His name.
Be wise. Be innocent. Be humble. Heaven will only be full of those who let themselves be conquered.
Matthew 7:17“Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18“A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
19“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20“Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22“Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
24“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
25“and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
27“and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
28And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,
29for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
