The Sanctification of Waiting

The point of Hebrews 10 is the new way of extending sanctification...a new and living way.
The process is to 'enter in to the Holy Place' with others.

Vs. 8 - 14 tells us why this new way is so effective:

Because to follow Jesus into perfection means to wait where He waits. But, it takes humility to wait for God in the face of so much need...

Babies dying
Poor in need
Hunger
Murder
Theft lawlessness
Injustice

... The list goes on. There is overwhelming need in the last generation...our generation.
The answer to that need will be contrary to the flesh, to impatience, to logic, and to arrogantly thinking we can do anything without the Spirit of Jesus directing us in real time.

Jesus has ALL authority, ALL knowledge, ALL power ... He could literally fix everything with a wave of his hand right now, but He waits. Why?

Because He only does what the Spirit says. He only does what He sees in the heart of God. He is literally sitting at the right hand of His father waiting!!

Everyone who ushers the kingdom of righteousness into the earth will do the EXACT same thing as Jesus. They will wait upon God. Their primary activity will be to abide in His presence. Everyone who abides bears fruit. Anyone who will not, does not. They may be really active, but what they build is burned up.

Hebrews 10:7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”
8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law),
9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second.
10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.
14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

This is the only path of sanctification. You cannot do the second commandment (loving people) in truth if you ignore the First (loving God with ALL you heart, soul, mind, and strength).

The harlotry of the end times is simply putting the cart of humanity before the power of humility.

We can't fix the earth. That's the truth being revealed right now. We CAN go in to the one who already finished it. That is what He is waiting for.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;
15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,

Are you actively building your life on this truth so that when it is accused you will continue to abide? Has Satan asked to sift you? Will you deny this truth? Is waiting on God to tell you what to do, when every instinct is to fix the situation, part of your muscle memory? Are you ready for the flood of need coming to planet Earth?

These are questions I hear the Spirit highlighting to me. Those who simply wait on God will be called evil by large portions of a falling away church for their inaction. Those who will not wait will be called unfaithful by Jesus. Only one opinion will matter forever.

Thinking I am ready to die for Him is the wrong response. I need to practice waiting for Him with others...like in Gethsemane....watching and praying.
