Jesus Came in the Flesh

"Jesus coming in the flesh" means Jesus came as a man, lived like all men should live, and showed us the path to life.

1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (2) By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, (3) and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

1
John 2:9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.

Anyone who see's Jesus' walk as different than the way His followers should behave denies Jesus came in the flesh. They separate the Shepherd from His sheep. They assert, whether intentionally or not, that Jesus was supernaturally different than they are required to be. This is antichrist. You have to be like Jesus, and if you aren't, you are supposed to be actively repenting. Jesus refused to do anything in His own power (remember, Satan tried to get Him to at the beginning of His ministry when He was fasting in the desert):

John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

If you are a follower of Jesus, you have all the tools He does to become a new creation. You are REQUIRED to become that new man or woman.

If you claim to follow Jesus, yet hate people... including those you see as enemies of you or Jesus... you are antichrist in nature. Jesus Christ loves, forgives, prays for, and blesses ENEMIES. On purpose.

Matthew 5:43-48 "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' (44) But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, (45) that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (46) For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? (47) And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? (48) Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

If you try to avoid this reality by redefining "love" (for instance, asserting love "means" something different than the way Jesus loved)... much like the Pharisee asked Jesus "then who is my neighbor", then you are trying to get out of the main and plain instruction of the Gospels. Jesus told the hard truth to BELIEVERS... that was love because they claimed to be God-lovers. He was incredibly passive with those that did not claim to know God. Mine it out.

If you love Jesus, then you will treat the people around you in a way that reflects the following personality traits of Jesus:

1. Love
2. Peace
3. Patience
4. Kindness
5. Gentleness
6. Faithfulness
7. Goodness
8. Joy
9. Self Control

If you justify ignoring these ^ because who you are dealing with is an "enemy of Christ" then you are antichrist in nature.

This isn't difficult. Children can understand it. Just because there is a ton of antichrist-driven leaders and people claiming to love Jesus Christ, doesn't make it any less antichrist to preach hating your enemies.

Galatians 5:16-26 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (17) For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. (18) But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (19) Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, (20) idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, (21) envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (24) And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (25) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (26) Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

If you don't live like Jesus lives, you won't live where Jesus lives. Period.
