Internal or External?

Externality is an expression of uncertainty. It's looking for agreement with people so it can be confident about God.

Internality is an expression of intimacy and confident faith.  It reaches for God, not man, so it can be confident agreeing with Him.  

An internal connection will always overflow to the world around that one powerful internal connection in a way that is like God: peaceful, patient, kind, gentle, joyful, self controlled, loving, and good... 

Confidence in God makes me confident in the way I relate to people.  A person growing in an abiding relationship with God isn't threatened by people.  They can freely love enemies.  

External people are shaky/unstable.  They are easily put into fear of man by the way people relate to them.

The kingdom is only coming one way: inside out.

Matthew 23:5-13 NKJV — “But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. “They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, “greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ “But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. “And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. “But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. “And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

The "man after God's heart" lived in an internal confidence...

Psalm 27:1-5 NKJV — A Psalm of David.

The LORD is my light and my salvation;

Whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the strength of my life;

Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me

To eat up my flesh,

My enemies and foes,

They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me,

My heart shall not fear;

Though war may rise against me,

In this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the LORD,

That will I seek:

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD

All the days of my life,

To behold the beauty of the LORD,

And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble

He shall hide me in His pavilion;

In the secret place of His tabernacle

He shall hide me;

He shall set me high upon a rock.

Every post I make can either come from an external deflection, or an internal obedience.  I can know where it originates by who's opinion I'm moved by:

Matthew 10:26-28 NKJV — “Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

If I'm expressing things to change your mind , I'm in the wrong place. If I'm expressing things because God has changed my mind, I'm growing internally. God knows the difference.

The weight of true salvation is not on the person being saved. The Cross is the power of the gospel. That means the flesh cannot save itself. False teachers place the weight of salvation on people. Anyone truly in a growing relationship with God... Anyone that truly knows Him, becomes more and more confident of One Thing: God is the strength of their bond, not themselves. *It's God who made us, not the other way around *It's God who sustains us... Every heart beat, every breath.. *It's God who holds eternity, not us. *It's God who has done every good thing, not man. If heaven is truly good, it's good because of God, not man. If righteousness is truly righteous, it's because of God not man. God Wants My Heart, Not My Help

There is a brokenness in my flesh that tends to try to be God instead of let God be God to me. "Wanting what God wants" doesn't make me loyal to God.  Even Satan wants what God wants: Isaiah 14:12-15 NLT — “How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world. For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. Jesus' One and Only Doctrine

Jesus only taught one doctrine: John 5:19 NKJV — Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. Meekness is the Telltale of a True Witness

Luke 24:47-49 NKJV — “and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. “And you are witnesses of these things. “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” At the very center of what it means to be a witness of Yeshua is HIS personality, not mine.
