These Days Are A Test
It's much more important to pass through the season of testing learning meekness than to save your world. Only the meek will inherit the earth.
Jesus already saved the world. It's finished. If I want into His world, I have to get into His emotions, thoughts, and will. Jesus handled resistance, persecution, wind and waves a certain way. Jesus already picked the life He lives. If I want to be with Him, I need to pick that life, too.
Listen to Yeshua's character in the face of injustice, uncertainty, and love growing cold:
Isaiah 42:1-7 NKJV — “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, till He has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for His law.” Thus says God the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it: “I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, To open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
The prison Yeshua leads us out of is self-leadership. That is what Adam and Eve led the human race into. That is what Yeshua leads the willing out of.
If these days seem overwhelming... Too big for me... Then these days are the perfect environment for me to either rise up in fear and pride, joining myself to arrogant, or to humble myself in meekness and rest and join to God. These days are a test come upon the whole world...
Psalm 37:1-11 NKJV — A Psalm of David. Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the LORD, They shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Everybody is picking something right now. Every heart is picking something to be discouraged about, excited about, or to rest into.
Pick the feet of Jesus and you will come through this time of testing with joy. Pick either side the world is picking and you will fail in this season and be left behind as the kingdom moves on. God will take the fruitless from the fruitful, and then the fruitful will move on with Him. These days are evil, but some are redeeming the time. Most are picking a side. There is no good earthly side. It's a test. The mind plays a trick on the fearful and they are tricked into saving their own lives only to lose them.
I want to give myself to God's character rn.
These days are a test. It doesn't matter who in the world is in charge. God is in charge of the righteous. He does not share His glory with man. He doesn't need anyone on the earth to do anything. That is the big test: do I believe in a weak God who is moved by what people do, or do I believe in a mighty God who shakes EVERYTHING so I can settle forever that there is no peace outside of Him?
Forever decisions are being made right now. I want to make the right ones.
We live in this moment in time:
Luke 21:25-36 NKJV — “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; “men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. “Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. “When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. “So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. “Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. “For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Most won't pass the test. Whoever reacts to the earth instead of dwelling in the heavens will remain here on earth. You get the kingdom you want. Fighting for this one loses that one.
Matthew 10:37-39 NKJV — “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
The gospel is simple. Our hypocrisy (double-mindedness) is the only thing that makes it confusing.
