The End

I hear the Sovereign Lord saying:

"Now is the time for wisdom and discernment. A warning to all the earth. For the time is soon and coming, and even at the door, for the beginning of the time Daniel spoke of. A time of great success and great error. Know that my servant has carried the warning. Many will disregard the time, though it is plain to see, for they would not heed my warning: watch and be ready."

Mark 13:32-33 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

The earth is entering a time of transition. The "time Daniel spoke of" was this time:

Daniel 9:26-27 ...The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined. Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”

The end WILL come with a flood. The "flood" is an overwhelming deluge of unbelievable things coming to pass right before the eyes of people who claim to know what is happening, but do not have eyes to see or ears to hear. Just as many eyes watch the water rise in a river, it isn't until the river spills outside of its banks that the residents living along its edge recognize the damage the water can do. Just as Noah's day came with a flood, the world was in a "business as usual mode" until the moment Noah went into the ark. We are entering the time when the first drops of rain will be felt.

Jesus is sovereign over the flood. Jesus is actually going to allow the flood to come, but the flood is intended to force a decision, a valley of decision where the world will choose whom it really believes: God or Man.

Psalm 93 was written for this day, the day the Lord had decreed to allow the waters to begin rising....the time Daniel spoke of....the time when the antichrist, the one who would soon confirm the covenant, would "ride the wings of abomination to make all he touched desolate":

Psalms 93:1-5 The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved. Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. The floods have lifted up, O Lord , The floods have lifted up their voice; The floods lift up their waves. The Lord on high is mightier Than the noise of many waters, Than the mighty waves of the sea. Your testimonies are very sure; Holiness adorns Your house, O Lord , forever.

Jesus is sovereign over the flood, but is actually going to give success to the antichrist is bringing the flood to pass. He is going to allow the antichrist... the "man with the plan"... to taste the initial success in his plan. The world will celebrate what Jesus is allowing to happen, even though the correct response is to speak out against it!

Daniel said of the antichrist, that "on the wings of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate." To get the warning right in my mind, I must understand what these odd words mean. Lord, release understanding.

The antichrist will "ride" abominations into greater realms of power.

a·bom·i·na·tion ( -b m -n sh n)

n.

1. Abhorrence; disgust.

2. A cause of abhorrence or disgust.

The antichrist will "ride" ideas that God defines as "disgusting" or an "abhorrence" into greater realms of power. In areas where God is sovereign, antichrist will be allowed to act as though HE is sovereign. These areas specifically mentioned in the Bible surrounding this "ultimate man" will be:

1. Peace for Israel...offering protection for God's chosen family outside of God.

2. A stable global economy outside of repentance and agreeing with God. One unified currency.

3. Unity and tolerance across all religions based on the idea that all religions are really talking about the same God, rather than the 1st commandment, and what came with it according to Jesus: to love your neighbor as yourself.

4. Initial stirrings of world peace outside of Jesus' promised coming global reign of peace.

5. Global equity apart from the free will given to men by God...fairness spread across the globe by means of a sanctioned redistributing of wealth.

The antichrist will promise the world these "abominations," which much of the world sees as very good. It is "on the wings" of these abominations...their initial success...that the antichrist will actually be initiating desolation.

Those who choose the agree with the antichrist and/or his plan, rather than hold out for invisible Jesus and his plan, will taste the full "consummation, which is determined" to be poured out on the desolate. These are poetic words which mean, "if you choose to agree with this man and his plan, you are going to get what you asked for, which is desolation." To the degree you agree with it, even in just being passive about it unfolding, is the degree to which you will taste desolation.

This is the most intense generation to ever live on earth...by design. There are great promises and great warnings in the Bible for the one generation that sees the last 7 years Daniel spoke of. The consequences and weight of this hour demand a response on the part of God's people. For now is the time that Jesus is beginning to allow this man to start tasting success in the areas he has put his hand to.

This man will be famous for his skill in the areas of peace, economics, and world unity. Now is the time for discernment, for as the whole world begins to celebrate the initial stirrings of this man's brilliance, God's people are supposed to be actually speaking out against the abominations, and warning of desolation. This is going to be a VERY unpopular message. It requires intense confidence in who Jesus is, what His plan is, and how He has clearly stated He will execute it.

Israel is about to make a "covenant with death." God calls this man's covenant with Israel...promising to protect God's own family if they will make peace with her neighbors that hate her, a "covenant with death." For the man promising to protect Israel actually hates her...he will strong-arm her to do what HE wants...for he intends to ride this abomination, which WILL cause desolation, particularly in Jerusalem, into His own global realm of power.

Israel's "practical" leaders will try to negotiate their way into a position of avoiding the "overflowing scourge"...the rising tide of anti-Israel governments surrounding Israel via the arab spring.

Luke 21:20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.

Israel will try to avoid this by agreeing to rely on the world's most powerful man (that hates her) to protect her...thus, making a treaty with death. The whole world will celebrate peace in the middle east, but God calls it "hasty". This is what He says:

Isaiah 28:14-19 Therefore hear the word of the Lord , you scornful men, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.” Therefore thus says the Lord God : “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place. Your covenant with death will be annulled, And your agreement with Sheol will not stand; When the overflowing scourge passes through, Then you will be trampled down by it. As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report.”

Paul warned us, too:

I Thessalonians 5:2-6 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

Jesus is warning us to be discerning. Things are not as they seem. He has CLEARLY told the world what is going to happen. All the world wants peace in Israel for its own reasons. Jesus says that Jerusalem is His City...the City of His Throne. Those who know this will not "act hastily" and they will have discernment to tell the truth to a very confused world. Today is as easy as it is going to be until Jesus returns. Now is the time to settle truth in my heart, to fill my "lamp with oil" for a long night of the groom's soon return, and begin teaching and doing the things Jesus says lead to greatness. "Waiting and seeing" is not even close to the same as "watching and being ready."

Daniel 12:1-3 “At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.
