A Plan for Safety
David said that this was his main plan for safety in a time of trouble:
Psalm 27:3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
This is why David started night and day prayer and worship, called "David's Tabernacle" in Israel. It worked.
Revelation begins with Chapter 1, which is the most expansive declaration of the beauty, majesty, strength, and anointing of Jesus Christ. Revelation tells of the time of greatest trouble earth will ever see, but it begins with an invitation to David's same plan of safety...
Revelation 1 is an invitation....a postcard from Jesus' throne...but you must RSVP....the invitation reads like this: "come and gaze on Jesus...put yourself before Him and be safe through all He is allowing to unfold so He would be revealed to the earth as the only safe place."
Night and day prayer is the safe place through the events of Revelation. David's Tabernacle will only be sustained by people committed to the Sermon on the Mount. Being that close, that zealous, that interested in the same reality in buildings all over the earth requires a life laid down and heart to serve and be generous. Tabernacle building requires private prayer and fasting before corporate prayer meetings....it requires putting away distractions...even permissible ones like financial success, clothing, concern for the "good life" so that a company of people would burn together for Jesus to come. The Tabernacle of David is the "washing machine" Jesus is using to get a pure and spotless Bride....it is promised to work.
What starts to emerge in the true Tabernacle focused on Jesus' return is clean GLORY....this will be very protective, yet inviting to the world...anyone who wants truth and real safety that isn't based in fear, but rather in freedom...will run into the Tabernacle all over the earth.
And then the end will come.
Jesus is sifting the world right now to find out who wants to live under his leadership forever. If you want to avoid the trouble, get into the leadership of Jesus right now...night and day...day and night.
Amos 9:9“For surely I will command,
And will sift the house of Israel among all nations,
As grain is sifted in a sieve;
Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground.
10All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,
Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’
11“On that day I will raise up
The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,
And repair its damages;
I will raise up its ruins,
And rebuild it as in the days of old;
Revelation 7:14And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15“Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
16“They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
17“for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Day and night...gazing at who He is...this is how he will lead us.
