One Thing
Psalm 27:1A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.
4One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.
5For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
6And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.
My enemies might talk about wanting this one thing, but they don't actually do it. This is why they always fail to prevail.
At this point I have helped several groups of people to begin expressing David's desire, called David's Tabernacle. Each time, they have turned against me once it has gotten started and is gaining momentum. They didn't really want the costly lifestyle of David's Tabernacle. Nor did they want the actual message of the Kingdom, that the greatest should be servants. They call themselves apostles, but they aren't. Their mouths reveal their hearts.
Revelation 2:2“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;
All of these "apostles", "prophets", "pastors", "prophetesses", and "first ladies", etc...They wanted something else than to really give themselves away. They know the language of the song of the kingdom, but their heart refuses to be strummed. In each case it's easy to see what they really wanted. Generally, it is their own increase in power or influence. That is what this one thing really threatens.
This ONE thing, David's Desire, EMPOWERS people. It connects them to the throne for themselves. That is a threat to those who are spending most of their time telling you who they are. They want you to think they are great and you are less than they are, and that is how they promise to help you, but who is it really helping?...
Jesus became the least and showed anyone willing to listen to Him how to do the same. He threw over the tables and declared what the house was for. He set His friends in an upper room.
This is my vision...to be the least, and thus forever be great. Those who have conspired to be my enemies see it exactly the opposite. They want you to see them as great leaders, yet they do not serve, and they do not tarry as a lifestyle. They will never be great unless they get an entirely different vision of themselves, you, and God.
Don't be fooled. Their words might sound so similar to mine... their dreams and visions so similar...but, their choices are always against really going after David's Tabernacle. Their fruit, what actually grows out of their heart level decisions, is something other than this one thing.
They literally conspire together to stop this one thing... actually conspire to stop the message of this from going forward in full. Those who were once at odds are once again becoming friends because of their intense dislike of, and inability to control, me... they become brothers in arms against me because I literally do and teach this one thing... If you know me, you know this is my only message, and the place I pour out my time and money. My fruit is this.
The Lord laughs. They can't prevail because they won't go in to the place where the power to prevail is really found. They won't go in themselves, and eventually they come to the conclusion that they want to keep others from going in. I have watched it over and over for the last few years. It is happening again. Don't listen to their words, look at their lives. Do they really want this one thing? Do they really want what David wanted?
Luke 1:31“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.
32“He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
33“And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
Oh, that those who make themselves my enemies would simply want this One Thing enough to do it and let others go in as well. Then my enemies would be my friends.
Psalm 69:6Let not those who wait for You, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed because of me;
Let not those who seek You be confounded because of me, O God of Israel.
7Because for Your sake I have borne reproach;
Shame has covered my face.
8I have become a stranger to my brothers,
And an alien to my mother’s children;
9Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up,
And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
10When I wept and chastened my soul with fasting,
That became my reproach.
11I also made sackcloth my garment;
I became a byword to them.
12Those who sit in the gate speak against me,
And I am the song of the drunkards.
13But as for me, my prayer is to You,
O LORD, in the acceptable time;
O God, in the multitude of Your mercy,
Hear me in the truth of Your salvation.
14Deliver me out of the mire,
And let me not sink;
Let me be delivered from those who hate me,
And out of the deep waters.
15Let not the floodwater overflow me,
Nor let the deep swallow me up;
And let not the pit shut its mouth on me.
16Hear me, O LORD, for Your lovingkindness is good;
Turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.
17And do not hide Your face from Your servant,
For I am in trouble;
Hear me speedily.
18Draw near to my soul, and redeem it;
Deliver me because of my enemies.
19You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor;
My adversaries are all before You.
20Reproach has broken my heart,
And I am full of heaviness;
I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none;
And for comforters, but I found none.
21They also gave me gall for my food,
And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
22Let their table become a snare before them,
And their well-being a trap.
23Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see;
And make their loins shake continually.
24Pour out Your indignation upon them,
And let Your wrathful anger take hold of them.
25Let their dwelling place be desolate;
Let no one live in their tents.
26For they persecute the ones You have struck,
And talk of the grief of those You have wounded.
27Add iniquity to their iniquity,
And let them not come into Your righteousness.
28Let them be blotted out of the book of the living,
And not be written with the righteous.
29But I am poor and sorrowful;
Let Your salvation, O God, set me up on high.
30I will praise the name of God with a song,
And will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
31This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bull,
Which has horns and hooves.
32The humble shall see this and be glad;
And you who seek God, your hearts shall live.
It's a whole new season. There is a wave coming. Make peace with God, now, while there is time.
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
