Trustworthy

God has never let me fall...not once. He has told me some amazing things and had me walk them out in faith...waiting to see if he would keep his promise. He ALWAYS has...every time.

Once, he told me to call in to work and tell them I wouldn't be there, then drive three hours across the state to go pray for my mom to get healed of Lupus by anointing her head with oil. I had no idea what I was doing, but I called my boss and told him I wouldn't be at work, stopped at a grocery store and bought some olive oil and drove across the state to find my mom. I prayed for her. A day later I found out she got healed. She is still healed to this day...that was over 20 years ago.

Once, he told me to quit my perfectly good job as a senior geologist at one of the better environmental consulting firms in the state. He said if I would trust him, he would bring me the work I needed. I had three young kids, the oldest was 3 and the youngest of which was about 5 Mo's old. I went upstairs early that morning and told Sam what God told me and that I needed to obey Him. She said "go ahead, I'll look into new health insurance when I wake up.". I went to work and quit my job and have been self employed ever since....that was 15 years ago.

Once, He told me that if I would stop trying to fix my marriage and stop trying to manipulate Sam into seeing things how I wanted her to...if I would just love her, that he would put my life back on track. It was a big risk. She hated me and her bags were packed to leave. I did what he told me that day on my front porch...I went inside, told Sam I was sorry for everything I had done, that I hadn't loved her, and that I was going to do my best to help her with anything she wanted to do...stay or leave. I figured she would get the house, so I started redoing the kitchen, so at least she would have a nice kitchen when we split. She still hated me for a while, but love worked, and God put my life back on track...eventually, our marriage healed and we are closer friends now than ever...best friends...that was 19 years ago.

Once he told me to say that the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers would flood on a specific date...I waited about two months after he told me, and on the day he told me to say it, I said it....about a month later, on the date he told me, floods hit both rivers.

Once he told me to say that on a specific date, a leader in Israel would make a very bold reversal about the temple mount. On the day...it happened publicly, just as God told me.

God has never let me fall...not once. I have more stories, but I just needed to remind myself that God is nice. He REALLY likes me. I have been doing my best to obey Him. That never fails, because he's not cruel...he's not trying to disqualify me...he's trying to qualify me. It's never failed. It's always looked dicey, and always turned out amazing....every time.

I'll be fine...when it's all said and done...I'll be upheld. I always have been! So will you! The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy!

Psalm 27:1A Psalm of David.

The LORD is my light and my salvation;

Whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the strength of my life;

Of whom shall I be afraid?

2When the wicked came against me

To eat up my flesh,

My enemies and foes,

They stumbled and fell.

3Though an army may encamp against me,

My heart shall not fear;

Though war may rise against me,

In this I will be confident.

4One thing I have desired of the LORD,

That will I seek:

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD

All the days of my life,

To behold the beauty of the LORD,

And to inquire in His temple.

5For in the time of trouble

He shall hide me in His pavilion;

In the secret place of His tabernacle

He shall hide me;

He shall set me high upon a rock.

6And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;

Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;

I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

7Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice!

Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

8When You said, “Seek My face,”

My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”
