Jerusalem

The judgment of the end-time Babylon comes because Israel is given in to her hand, and she misuses that authority.

The attitude of the nations toward Jerusalem is the most important factor in their judgment. ALL of the nations will be judged because they have not understood Jerusalem and thought that they could move it any way they want.

Jerusalem is Jesus'.

He won't make Jerusalem come to Him or receive Him as King. Rather, He will give everyone what they want until all of their plans fail and then they will acknowledge Him.

Right now, the church is starting to sound more like the nations than the Bride, having theoretical and distant discussions about something so vibrant and close to His heart. The emotions of God toward that city are in nearly every chapter of the Bible. As many evangelical leaders pontificate about "what would be fine with them" regarding the US plans for Israel and Jerusalem, God has already told of His JEALOUSY toward Israel. He will answer.

Zephaniah 3:1-13 Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted, To the oppressing city! (2) She has not obeyed His voice, She has not received correction; She has not trusted in the LORD, She has not drawn near to her God. (3) Her princes in her midst are roaring lions; Her judges are evening wolves That leave not a bone till morning. (4) Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people; Her priests have polluted the sanctuary, They have done violence to the law. (5) The LORD is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame. (6) "I have cut off nations, Their fortresses are devastated; I have made their streets desolate, With none passing by. Their cities are destroyed; There is no one, no inhabitant. (7) I said, 'Surely you will fear Me, You will receive instruction'—So that her dwelling would not be cut off, Despite everything for which I punished her. But they rose early and corrupted all their deeds. (8) "Therefore wait for Me," says the LORD, "Until the day I rise up for plunder; My determination is to gather the nations To My assembly of kingdoms, To pour on them My indignation, All My fierce anger; All the earth shall be devoured With the fire of My jealousy. (9) "For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him with one accord. (10) From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, The daughter of My dispersed ones, Shall bring My offering. (11) In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds In which you transgress against Me; For then I will take away from your midst Those who rejoice in your pride, And you shall no longer be haughty In My holy mountain. (12) I will leave in your midst A meek and humble people, And they shall trust in the name of the LORD. (13) The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness And speak no lies, Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; For they shall feed their flocks and lie down, And no one shall make them afraid."

Isaiah 47:1-15 "Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; Sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called Tender and delicate. (2) Take the millstones and grind meal. Remove your veil, Take off the skirt, Uncover the thigh, Pass through the rivers. (3) Your nakedness shall be uncovered, Yes, your shame will be seen; I will take vengeance, And I will not arbitrate with a man." (4) As for our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel. (5) "Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; For you shall no longer be called The Lady of Kingdoms. (6) I was angry with My people; I have profaned My inheritance, And given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; On the elderly you laid your yoke very heavily. (7) And you said, 'I shall be a lady forever,' So that you did not take these things to heart, Nor remember the latter end of them. (8) "Therefore hear this now, you who are given to pleasures, Who dwell securely, Who say in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, Nor shall I know the loss of children'; (9) But these two things shall come to you In a moment, in one day: The loss of children, and widowhood. They shall come upon you in their fullness Because of the multitude of your sorceries, For the great abundance of your enchantments. (10) "For you have trusted in your wickedness; You have said, 'No one sees me'; Your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you; And you have said in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me.' (11) Therefore evil shall come upon you; You shall not know from where it arises. And trouble shall fall upon you; You will not be able to put it off. And desolation shall come upon you suddenly, Which you shall not know. (12) "Stand now with your enchantments And the multitude of your sorceries, In which you have labored from your youth—Perhaps you will be able to profit, Perhaps you will prevail. (13) You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels; Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, And the monthly prognosticators Stand up and save you From what shall come upon you. (14) Behold, they shall be as stubble, The fire shall burn them; They shall not deliver themselves From the power of the flame; It shall not be a coal to be warmed by, Nor a fire to sit before! (15) Thus shall they be to you With whom you have labored, Your merchants from your youth; They shall wander each one to his quarter. No one shall save you.

Zechariah 12:1-3 The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: (2) "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. (3) And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.
