How to Get the White Robe!

The key of David is the key that unlocks the "wardrobe" of the white robes required to be part of the first resurrection. The white robes are the "righteous acts of the saints." BUT, only righteousness by FAITH is acceptable to God. This is because God is the only source of righteousness in creation:

Romans 4:3-6 The scripture says, "Abraham believed God, and because of his faith God accepted him as righteous." (4) A person who works is paid wages, but they are not regarded as a gift; they are something that has been earned. (5) But those who depend on faith, not on deeds, and who believe in the God who declares the guilty to be innocent, it is this faith that God takes into account in order to put them right with himself. (6) This is what David meant when he spoke of the happiness of the person whom God accepts as righteous, apart from anything that person does:

If God is truly the only good one, to find out what is “Good” and then try to do it in our flesh is adultery/idolatry/harlotry, as defined by the Bible.

Remember, anything not done in FAITH is sin, and all sin is lawlessness.

Sin is not doing things wrong. Humans all do things wrong. Sin is not doing things in faith.

Romans 14:22-23 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. (23) But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.

For this reason, to enter the kingdom of God (and, by extension, come out of the kingdom of man), we have to become like children. Children are good when their parents lead them well. They aren't good on their own. Anyone who has spent any time with children knows this truth. A young child reflects the leadership they are under.

1 John 3:1-4 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. (2) Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. (3) And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. (4) Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

Purity isn't being "good without God." Purity isn't being flawless in what we do. We are dust. This is what David, the man after God's heart boldly proclaimed:

Psalms 103:11-14 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; (12) As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. (13) As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him. (14) For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

NO! Purity describes a source. Purifying ourselves is to decide on ONE SOURCE of righteousness. It will never be God and man. It's either purely from God, or it isn't good.

That is why Mary poured out purity at Yeshua's feet. This is the one thing required. It is the one thing the rich young ruler never found. It is the one thing that will lead to truly righteous acts of the saints. The key of David is the one thing that opens the door to righteousness by Faith.

John 12:3-5 Then Mary took a whole pint of a very expensive perfume made of pure nard, poured it on Jesus' feet, and wiped them with her hair. The sweet smell of the perfume filled the whole house. (4) One of Jesus' disciples, Judas Iscariot—the one who was going to betray him—said, (5) "Why wasn't this perfume sold for three hundred silver coins and the money given to the poor?"

I can only give something pure where I have received something pure:

Luke 10:38-42 As Jesus and his disciples went on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed him in her home. (39) She had a sister named Mary, who sat down at the feet of the Lord and listened to his teaching. (40) Martha was upset over all the work she had to do, so she came and said, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself ? Tell her to come and help me!" (41) The Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha! You are worried and troubled over so many things, (42) but just one is needed. Mary has chosen the right thing, and it will not be taken away from her."

David taught Israel to come to the feet of God, prophecy, and that pure revelation of what was good made the nation Godly. Righteousness will never come by the strength, or the wrath of man.

James 1:19-20 Remember this, my dear friends! Everyone must be quick to listen, but slow to speak and slow to become angry. (20) Human anger does not achieve God's righteous purpose.

For this reason, God is separating the righteous from the wicked. The wicked are getting more full of wrath. The righteous are getting more full of God.
