The Beasts

The false prophet is "another beast." The beast is the antichrist...the man who offers himself to the world as a humanistic messiah. Antichrist will appear to have a man-based solution to the inequity in the world. Man-based solutions are what have caused the inequity in the first place, but few will care about that. Few will care that every time social engineering has been attempted, the result has been the same: war, famine, pestilence...bread lines, shortages of basic supplies...mass murder in gulags and concentration camps.

I remember when I was a kid, a friend of mine visited Russia. He came home and told how numerous people approached him and offered to buy the blue jeans he was wearing because clothes like that just weren't available in Russia before the collapse of communism. His best story was about the coke machines that used a shared cup to buy a coke....a shared cup...with strangers. This is the kind of lack that communism and socialism produces. Yet, the world is poised for one last global socialist adventure...the Bible is clear that this is what is coming, and so is the news.

God made earth a perfect garden...eutopia...for us to be with Him in it. This has been man's answer since Babel: remake eutopia without God. That is why social engineering always requires outlawing Christianity...where the freedom of the Lord is, the social plan is threatened.

The Bible describes the worst combination of social engineering and religion coming to planet earth soon. This last attempt at a fair remaking of the global political and economic structure will be mixed with a psuedo-Christianity. This what the false prophet is all about.

History has shown, most recently through Hitler, that when an evil dictator with a messianic complex begins using the Bible for his own purposes, very bad things happen. Many fell for Hitler's agenda because he claimed to be a Christian!

The false prophet will be one of the most powerful Christian leaders on the planet at the time he begins agreeing with the antichrist...the humanistic messiah. They are going to share the same agenda: social engineering in order to make the world fair again. They will both elevate man's definition of "good" over the truth of God. The false prophet will be very dangerous...many will think he is God's main mouthpiece. He will take his established following of millions of Christians and hitch them to the new messiah...for the "greater good":

Revelation 13:11 Then I saw another beast (the false prophet. He will have the same character of the antichrist, which is why God calls him "another beast") coming up out of the earth...

The false prophet comes up "out of the earth," unlike the antichrist, who rises out of the "sea". The "sea" is symbolic of the wind and waves of the political changes in the earth, where as the "earth" is symbolic of the much more stable traditional religious system that the false prophet leads. Antichrist is the last global superpower leader. He leads the end-time "harlot Babylon" the most prosperous, luxurious, and corrupt country the earth has ever seen. She starts out as the "golden city" in Isaiah 14, and becomes a "haunt of demons" (Revelation 18)...the false prophet is the most powerful Christian religious leader on earth...both he and the antichrist are beasts...they both think man can fix the world. Man without God. This is what Satan has been vying for since the Garden of Eden.

...and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon....

Satan is the dragon in the Bible...always. This is how the dragon always speaks "did God REALLY say?" Satan LOVES to interpret for God:

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

Luke 4:9-10 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,’

Satan is a Bible teacher. He uses the Word to convince those who don't know the truth to rebel against God. The Bible says the false prophet speaks like satan...though he "looks like a lamb." He will appear to be in agreement with Jesus. He will have "two horns like a lamb." That means he will use the "aggressive" side of Bible truth to move people in fear, yet he will sooth them with lies...just like the dragon. Enough truth to get the sheep to move, enough lie to get them to move away from God.

This man will be very dangerous to anyone who loves the idea of Jesus but has no idea what the Bible actually says.

Revelation 13:12-15 And he (the false prophet) exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

In a nutshell, look for this: There is going to be a very prominent Christian leader who is going to begin sounding very much like the most prominent political leader. They will be besties. They will want the same thing for the earth: mankind to be "good" without the God of the Bible, although one of them is a Bible teacher.

God wants mankind to trust that He is the only one who can make the earth good. We are supposed to be agreeing with God that this place is not what it is supposed to be without Him, but the antichrist and the false prophet will both teach at first that God would rather we make this place good on our own, rather than wait for Jesus. They will say this is what Jesus would want! Doesn't Jesus want a government that feeds the poor? That accepts any lifestyle? That doesn't demand Jesus is the ONLY way. Jesus wouldn't want us to be so exclusive, he will say!

This is a lie...in just a few years the antichrist will claim to be the real messiah and will blaspheme the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He will call God evil for releasing judgment on the earth.

The antichrist has an evil plan to get people to fall in line. He is going to save the earth from near global catastrophy by implementing a new global currency, called the mark of the beast. Most Christians already know not to take a mark on their hand or forehead! BUT, the false prophet is going to tell millions of Christians that they have his blessing to take the mark. Millions...maybe billions...already feeling the pressure of fear...will believe this guy who claims to speak for God. They will say "well, if this man says it is ok with God to use the new currency, who am I to argue? He speaks for God." This will cause many to take the mark of the beast, which the Bible calls worshiping the antichrist. A person cannot be saved once they commit this final act of rebellion of accepting a global currency require a mark near the hand or head. This requires discernment.

Revelation 13:16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Not everyone who claims that Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for sin is a Christian. Hitler claimed this...and many other very evil men have claimed it (Jim Jones, David Koresh...the list is long). There are many evil believers:

James 2:18-20 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

There is only one way to judge a prophet...by His works...His fruit. Are the things a man says driving you to wholehearted love and devotion to Jesus, or is he using the name of Jesus to drive people, usually by flesh (fear, greed, guilt, lust) to be comfortable operating outside of increasing agreement with God. Jesus wants us to grow in our commitment to His very exclusive claim that He is the ONLY way to the Father...not back down from it.

There are many "christian" leaders who will tell you what you want to hear. This is what pretty much the whole world wants to hear: "you can have all the benefits of God's presence without His leadership." This is simply impossible. You only get life under the leadership of the source of life...that is Jesus, the light of mankind.

John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

You must know what the Word...Jesus... is saying and doing in this hour or you risk being swept away. I believe both the antichrist and the false prophet are beginning to actively conspire to remake the world together. Revelation is the only book in the Bible which promises a blessing to anyone willing to read and teach it. Now is the time.

Mark 13:37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
