Watchmen

Isaiah 62:6-7 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, (7) And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Matthew 23:37-39 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! (38) See! Your house is left to you desolate; (39) for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'BLESSED is HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!' "

Jerusalem…David’s City…is the future location of Jesus’ throne. There is no place more important on the face of the planet. The news of the day reflects this constantly. The most contested city on earth is Jerusalem, and the most contested ground in the city is the Temple Mount. This is the actual promised location of Jesus’ eternal throne. Right now, fierce war is raging in the heavens over this city and this mount. At a point in the near future, satan will be cast out of the heavens, and the war will be fought right here on earth.

Already, we can see the physical results on earth in the conflict between Israel and her Arab neighbors. This war is promised to become more intense, not less. Right now satan is desperately trying to thwart the prophecies concerning Jerusalem and Israel. There is one simple and clear reason why the Temple Mount...this tiny hill, in a small city, in a little country… is the source of most of the conflict in the world. It is the promise by Jesus concerning Jerusalem:

See! Your house is left to you desolate; (39) for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'BLESSED is HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!' "

Jesus told the Pharisees and other Jewish leaders that their house, the temple, was left desolate because they had rejected the true Messiah. 40 years later, after much conflict and trouble, the house, and the city that held it, were leveled and the jewish nation ceased to exist. Jesus earlier had promised Jerusalem they would see Jesus on earth again. His promise required Israel and Jerusalem exist…but this promise was for a day in the future…the promise will be fulfilled on a on a very specific day.

“That day” as the Bible calls it, is the day that Jerusalem…destroyed in 70 AD, someday welcomes Jesus back into Jerusalem as the Messiah. Satan has been working overtime since the day Jesus made this promise to make sure it never happens. From the day the city and the temple were destroyed, millions of Jews have been murdered in various pogroms throughout the middle east and Europe, climaxing with World War II. Up until WWII, it looked as if satan might actually pull it off. Then the unthinkable happened: Israel was born again in one day! In 1948, with the signing of some papers, the prophetic clock began ticking again, but it was until 1967 that Israel regained control of Jerusalem. As God unfolds the fulfillment of the prophetic promises, we can actually watch the war in the heavens play out on earth in increasing intensity.

Right now…in 2014, we stand at the threshold of a huge “ramp up” of intensity. Right now, the world is on the edge of a peace treaty promised to usher in the last 7 years before Jesus returns. Once the covenant for peace in Israel is “confirmed” by the leader of the end-time Harlot Babylon, the last global superpower to mess with Israel, the last 7 years of natural history begin. This will be the most intense time as “that day” steadily approaches…

A lot happens on that day! Israel begins being liberated from the enemy armies of the all of the nations of the world. The entire church gets “raptured” into new resurrected bodies when Jesus splits the sky and descends on a sea of glass through the clouds…on that day, satan begins losing his illegal grip on the world one final time.

Satan’s destiny is prison in hell for 1,000 years, and later, a lake of fire. Satan does NOT want that day to come. He and his rebel angels are desperate for survival right now. We can see it in the news…every inch towards the soon coming 7-year peace covenant is fought tooth and nail by all sides...watch the news and see it: news of progress in the talks, then fierce resistance by the peoples that are supposed to want peace! Israel hates it, Palestinians hate it, the majority of the US is going to hate…but it plods steadily on. God has promised that what He started by an overnight re-birth of Israel is sure to be delivered. We are literally watching this happen in real time. What began in 1967 with the taking of Jerusalem by Israel has moved steadily forward ever since. Since the same time the spiritual climate of the earth has been steadily tanking to the point where random murder, hate, sexual perversity are mainstream realities:

Isaiah 66:8-10 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children. (9) Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?" says the LORD. "Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?" says your God. (10) "Rejoice with Jerusalem, And be glad with her, all you who love her; Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her;

Mourning and rejoicing. All around a city in a nation born in one day! Prophesied 1,000’s of years ago and blossoming all around us as we speak!

The days leading up to that day are going to become progressively intense...in fact, Daniel was told the earth has never seen tribulation like it will the last 1,260 days (3.5 years) preceding Jesus return. The “epicenter” of that trouble will be in Jerusalem, but it will spread to every nation. The prophecy Jesus gave about returning only at an invitation by the builders…the religious leaders of Jerusalem…was a repeat of the original prophecy by David. David described the same dynamics of intensity that will come along with THAT DAY:

Psalms 118:17-29 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD. (Israel, in this prophetic picture, is at the point of death) (18) The LORD has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death. (19) Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, And I will praise the LORD. (20) This is the gate of the LORD, Through which the righteous shall enter. (21) I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation. (22) The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. (the builders originally rejected Jesus but are now…at the time of near death…seeing the truth and calling Him the chief cornerstone) (23) This was the LORD's doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. (24) This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. (this day of mourning is turning into a day of rejoicing…just like Isaiah promised) (25) Save now, I pray, O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity. (save us…and here it comes…the invitation:) (26) Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! We have blessed you from the house of the LORD. (27) God is the LORD, And He has given us light; Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. (28) You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. (29) Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

This will be the most intense time in human history. It will be intense for Israel…most intense for Israel…but the intensity will be global. The intensity will be shared by those grafted into Israel’s tree:

Romans 11:24-27 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? (25) For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. (26) And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "THE DELIVERER WILL COME OUT OF ZION, AND HE WILL TURN AWAY UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB; (27) FOR THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS."

So the grafted branches, gentile believers, will still be coming in right up until “that day” when Jesus rescues Israel, the natural tree. The events surrounding that day are described in the intensity of the Book of Revelation. Understanding the events of that day are essential for the Bride to be ready to endure that day. Endurance will be required.

Matthew 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Those not “ready” to endure in the way SPECIFICALLY described in the Bible simply will not endure, but will “draw back”..or fall away…they will quit in the time of trouble. MANY believers are currently unprepared for that day. Most have no idea that Jesus has a specific plan He is enacting that REQUIRES a response on the part of His Bride. Many have believed fables about being removed before any trouble comes, and because of that, they have no idea that the Great Tribulation is custom made to prepare Jesus’ Bride to be pure and spotless. There are many teachers in the land saying the OPPOSITE of what Paul said:

Hebrews 10:32-39 But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated (saved and pressing into God with zeal), you endured a great struggle with sufferings: (33) partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; (34) for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. (here Paul is saying the tribulation of these saints was what brought them JOY and UNITY) (35) Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. (he is saying to the Bride “don’t forget this, you will need it.”) (36) For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: (37) "FOR YET A LITTLE WHILE, AND HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME AND WILL NOT TARRY. (38) NOW THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH; BUT IF ANYONE DRAWS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM." (39) But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

Jesus allows the intensity to give His Bride the greatest victory ever witnessed on earth. She will win, but it REQUIRES agreement with the plan and preparation in advance…filling the lamps with oil BEFORE night fall!

The reason that the intensity of that day will be so great is all because of satan’s desperate attempt to cut-off Israel from the point of inviting Jesus back. It comes back to the first passage I quoted:

Isaiah 62:6-7 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, (7) And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

The watchmen are the night and day praying church. Before Jesus returns, His entire church is going to be a night and day praying bride. The only kind of church that will exist is one that does the Tabernacle of David night and day worship, all others will quit…for real. Making God your strength in the place of prayer is the only formula that will survive the intensity of the day. Churches that attempt to ride out the storm outside of the plan Jesus clearly has laid out in the word will simply not make it.

Night and day worship isn't another new program the church is into right now. This is one of the biggest fulfillments of prophecy the earth has ever seen. The balance of Jesus’ entire plan RESTS on the building of night and day prayer. Why? Because the locations that set the watchmen on the walls day and night are going to be the only thing between satan winning or losing! Jesus is so confident of His Bride “getting this” that He threw a promise out there that we need to keep! Amos prophesied it, too!

Amos 9:9-12 "For surely I will command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations (this is the Great Tribulation…it will be among all nations), As grain is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground. (10) All the sinners of My people (Israel is His and so is His Bride) shall die by the sword, Who say, 'The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.' (saying trouble isn't’t coming IS a recipe for failure, this is stated in several places throughout the Word) (11) "On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David (24-hour prayer to music), which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; (12) (why, Jesus?) That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name," Says the LORD who does this thing.

Jesus, the one promised to sit on David’s throne, in David’s city, has bet it all on a night and day worshiping Bride…those with a heart of David… interceding for the people and the city of His throne. In the process, the worshiping Bride will create cities of refuge in their own geographic locations to endure the shaking, just like David promised:

Psalms 27:3-5 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. (4) One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. (5) For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

This doctrine is EVERYWHERE in the Bible, but nearly completely untaught. Once you see it, you cannot escape it. The climax of it is actually beginning to unfold right now, yet throughout the church most people have no idea it is happening, and if they do, very few understand WHY it is happening. This is what Jesus promised would happen:

Luke 12:37-40 Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. (38) And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. (39) But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. (40) Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

1 Thessalonians 5:2-5 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. (3) For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (4) But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. (5) You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

The consequences of not taking the time to sort this out are huge and real. Waiting to see is not a Biblical option. Specific preparation is required. This is why:

satan intends to turn all of his efforts to cut-off Israel on Jesus Bride 3.5 years after the peace agreement. When the night and day watchmen intercede for Israel, the remnant will escape satan’s last attempt to “check-mate” her. Satan is going to entice the same man who made peace in Israel and use him to try to eliminate Israel…antichrist will force Israel (and the rest of the world) to worship him in an attempt to disqualify them from inviting Jesus back as savior. He will threaten to kill anyone who doesn’t bow down to his statue.

The night and day bride is going to spring into intercession and 1/3 of the population of Israel is going to escape into the wilderness. Jesus prophesied what to do when the statue is set up:

Matthew 24:15-17 "Therefore when you see the 'ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), (16) "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. (17) Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.

When this happens, satan…and his son, the antichrist…are going to realize it is the night and day watchmen that are the “link” protecting Israel with heavenly might. When antichrist realizes this, he will turn his armies on the Bride. Those that are ready will be ready to endure the 1,260 days of antichrist’s intense attempts to wipe her out. Those not ready will go with the flow and quit out of offense, fear, and intimidation…being ready, knowing the specific plan, building the night and day prayer, this is what will not just save you and your city, it is what will protect Israel and usher in the return of Jesus!

Revelation 12:13-17 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. (14) But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. (15) So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. (16) But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. (17) And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 13:4-7 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?" (5) And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. (6) Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. (7) It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Mark 13:35-37 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— (36) lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. (37) And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!"

Luke 18:7-8 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? (8) I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"
