The Light of Glory

Exodus 24:17 The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

God's glory is the light of His presence. It is the bright glow of His infinite, transcendent, beautiful perfection. God is infinite in vast perfect beauty that makes His countenance so bright He outshines a million suns.

If you believe that the Bible is actually true, the light of the Sun does not keep us alive, contrary to popular belief. It is actually the tiny amount of God's glory He allows to "leak" through the veil God erected to protect us from His glory that currently allows life to continue! Right now, God's glory in full strength would consume every person on earth, but life is only possible in this light!

John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Exodus 33:19-23 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”

Man's frame can ONLY live in God's glory. That is actually what LIFE is, living in the full strength power of the source of life. No one on planet earth right now has tasted life the way we were originally intended to. What God called "very good" was me, face to face with God's super bright glory radiating on my skin, living in the full presence of that light on a planet called earth that is vibrantly alive in that same light. When Adam and Eve chose evil, darkness entered their physical frame and their infinite capacity to take in the infinite God became less than infinite. Anything less than infinite is "infinitely less." God's glory, in one bite of fruit, suddenly became deadly to man's frame.

God made the earth to let His glory shine and bring life to His family of men and women. This is what the Bible is the story of, the process God has chosen to allow anyone who wants back into life an opportunity to partner with God as He remakes our beings to be capable of beholding His glory, and to remake the earth in the blazing light of His presence. The earth could handle the remake, but mankind could not.

We were given dominion over the land at the time of creation. Since we could no longer handle God's glory, God withdrew from the Garden He made for His own good pleasure! Earth suffered at the withdraw of His glory. Where abundant produce naturally yielded itself from trees each month, suddenly the earth would barely produce enough, even with the toiling help of mankind. Man's work BECAME toilsome.

Genesis 3:17-19 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”

Man's life became a living death, with only a small "lifeline" of glory touching earth to keep it alive long enough for God's family to choose if they wanted life or death. The lifeline of glory are the words of God released to it:

Hebrews 1:3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

God releases enough glory to keep earth habitable through His words. Jesus came and gave the world a huge push into more life, if it wants it, and when Jesus called us as His disciples...He gave us authority to release glory into earth through our words!

God is being very patient waiting to come back into His garden to renew it with full strength glory. That is what the last 6,000 years have been: one long patient time of choosing for everyone destined to be a part of God's family. Do I want life...which is only possible in the light of God's glory, or the absence of life...which is existing forever outside of the light source of life....called death in an ongoing dry, barren, lake of fire? Once I decide, it is my job to start releasing more glory with my words which, if offered in Jesus' name, become His words! Jesus is going to "hem the earth in" to this choice in one generation in order to get a Bride who is "all-in" for the job of releasing more and more glory day and night globally. This will manifest the kingdom in every location that wants it. Judgment will not touch these locations, because the point of judgment is to create them.

"Life" is dwelling, as much as possible, in the glory of God's presence. The more we try to gaze on God, the more life we get. Even a crumb more of God's glory touching earth is infinite in its ability to produce life!

Mark 7:26-30 The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.” Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed.

What the gentile women understood that most of the Jewish Pharisees refused to come near enough to see was that a crumb of Jesus' glory released into her family was worth begging for! She wasn't settling for a little! No! She simply knew the value of a crumb of what Jesus has to offer. You can only handle a crumb or two of glory released at a time. This stuff is so potent, full strength would literally burn you up:

I Timothy 6:14-16 That you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

What this passage is saying is that holiness...choosing to offer my heart to God to "reformat" it...sector by sector...from its corrupted state to a cleaner state increases my capacity to experience His glory. This is what it means to go from glory to glory, strength to strength:

II Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Gazing on the glory of God brings life to our corrupted heart and actually changes it! It produces another crumb sized bowl of "life-capacity" to hold a little more glory, and I actually change...growing in my ability to live in Jesus' light.

I gaze on Jesus' glory by placing myself before His throne in my heart. I imagine myself before that sapphire throne on the sea of glass, the bright infinite beauty before me, and I say "open up a little more of the eyes of my heart. Show me what the seraphim see. Show me a little more of why they cry out 'Holy Holy'. Show me a little more of why the elders call out 'yes, He is worthy' in response. Increase my capacity to behold Your beauty. Fix my gaze on You. Set yourself like a seal on my heart. Let nothing overtake my gaze but you. Just another glimpse. Another crumb." And then I press into that request, like the greek woman....I keep on asking...until I get what I came for."

This is worship. Worship is the highest expression of desire. Desire is the currency of the invisible kingdom. You have unlimited desire to spend. The more you spend, the more you get. The more you get, the more you grow in faith.

Faith transforms the physical by introducing glory back into the Garden...crumb by crumb, growing in glory capacity until I am literally telling trees to grow and mountains to move. This is the process God will use to bring heaven to earth in one generation!

This is how you spend your desire on God's glory, you Keep Asking!

Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

And as your glory capacity grows, so does your faith. Faith release more glory back into the Garden:

Matthew 21:21-22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
