Unity
Unity is the desire of Jesus' heart...which means it is the desire of God's heart. God is multi-membered unity....the three in one. For God to be love and be self-sufficient, He must be multi-membered. The Father and the Spirit fully and perfectly love the Son. The Son and the Father fully and completely love the Spirit, and the Spirit and the Son fully love the Father. This is a wholly consumed and wholehearted love. This is our God!
The burning love of the fellowship of the trinity has always been, is now, and always will be. Man was created to share in that love. Man was made to be with God face to face, living in the glorious burning light of the fire of love...the Bride reflecting the glory of the Groom having legal dominion in the garden of fellowship. Only a denial of love...choosing to explore life outside of the fully consumed relationship God always intended...tasting evil...the absence of God's presence...broke the fellowship of love God desires. God still desires what He called very good in Genesis 1:31...He never changes!
Genesis 1:31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
The Bible is the story of the restoration of "very good". Revelation ends as Genesis began...with God on earth face to face with man in a perfect garden. That is where this whole thing is going. Darkness has wilted the garden. The earth groans for the return of glory, and glory, the fiery light of God's presence, IS what is coming. But the return of glory, just like the dawning of day, is a process worked out over time.
Many imagine an un-Biblical account of Revelation unfolding. The impatience of man desires that at some point God will get sick of all this brokenness, wave His hand, and magically fix the earth, and we debate where we will be when this happens! We debate from a wrong premise!
God is never going to suspend human process. Process is what we were made for! Even creation, everything spoken into existence, was an ordered process worked out over time. The Father desired, the Son spoke, and the Spirit moved. This will never change. The order of creation simply reflected the creative partnership of burning love that has always existed. God isn't interested in altering His nature to make us more comfortable...in fact, God's nature is perfect, He would never lessen His perfection of "intense process" to meet our impatience. Consider the cross.
So, reflecting the perfect nature of divine partnership of love, Jesus prayed that we would partner with God in the restoration of the unity of creation and the restoration of the garden of fellowship. Mankind has "dominion"...legal authority...over the garden. That will never change. We have our part and God has theirs....His. As the legal partner with the Groom, we have an obligation to "live into" our royal position. Just as the Father desired, and our Groom spoke, and the Spirit moved...the Bride is supposed to agree with the Groom. The two have become one flesh...what God has joined together let no man separate:
Ephesians 5:31-32 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
If Jesus did it, so shall I. We are supposed to be growing in oneness...in a process of sanctification. Jesus prayed continually:
John 11:42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”
The earth witnessing God "always hearing us" is what causes belief...it is what manifests salvation. The oneness with Jesus in entering into the continual conversation of passionate agreement in creative expression is what will be the final witness to the earth that Jesus IS the Son of God and the only way to the Father. This is what the Fellowship of Love desires right now. The more I agree with that, the more "one" with the head I become. This is one of the last things Jesus prayed for:
John 17:20-24 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
Do you want to know why Jesus let those first disciples believe they were actually in the lasts days? They did, you know...they fully believed it was the last hour. It was not only true, but completely necessary that they be one with us. We ARE in the last days, but for us to be one with the guys in the upper room, they had to live in that reality, too. They were not wrong. What they experienced...building the church in a time of persecution, operating in the outpouring of the Spirit and unity that marked the Acts 2-5 Church...this is exactly what I should expect. It is ridiculous that we would expect some better deal than Jesus' face to face close friends got! What a shame that scoffers and mockers in Jesus' body will say anything contrary...for it is the scoffers and mockers that create division!
I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
II Peter 3:3-5 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,
Jude 1:17-19 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
Right now, the signs of Jesus' coming are exploding all around us. Many take a "wait and see" approach to this time. This is a huge mistake. It disagrees with every epistle and every book of the gospel, not to mention the hundreds of warnings in the major and minor prophets. The reason the Bride is comfortable being disengaged from the plans of the Groom is because she has mostly fallen for the lie that it will "all work out."
For the Groom, the Father, and the Spirit...for the great cloud of witnesses...YES...it will certainly all work out! But how will it work out for you and me?!
That is up to us. Everyone gets what they want. Jesus is creating unity by division...separating those who, because of their own lusts...you could say their own desires for a good life, ministry, or name now ...from those who refuse to enjoy anything less than "the maker of heaven back in the garden," and will do anything to participate in the process.
The process of participation is just as Jesus always said: praying continually in unity to overcome the injustice of the fallen and wilted garden, and seeing heaven respond with the release of glory...which is judgment...light meeting darkness and destroying darkness, as intense and terrifying as that may seem to people born in darkness.... as a witness that Jesus is the Son of God.
Luke 18:6-8 Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
This is what the Book of Revelation is: a prayer AND instruction manual for a united end time Bride. The seals, trumpets, and bowls are numbered and ordered. 3 always follows 2, and the end time Bride in each city that agrees with God will pray in one accord with every other city of His name...primarily focused on the city in the center...Jerusalem...the city of Jesus' throne. The end time night and day singing watchman...called Jesus Bride...will intercede for the earth, gather in the great harvest in power in the greatest outpouring of the Spirit earth has ever witnessed all building and leading to the delivery of heaven on earth...when Jesus splits the sky and returns. The Father desires, the Groom and His Bride speak, and the Spirit...the Genesis 1 Creator God...will move at the sound of our voice.
This is the hour we are in. This is what will make us all one...seeing eye to eye:
Isaiah 52:7-10 How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the Lord brings back Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the nations; And all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God.
Isaiah 62:6-7 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord , do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
