Psalms
Psalm 136:7To Him who made great lights,
For His mercy endures forever—
8The sun to rule by day,
For His mercy endures forever;
9The moon and stars to rule by night,
For His mercy endures forever.
10To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,
For His mercy endures forever;
11And brought out Israel from among them,
For His mercy endures forever;
12With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm,
For His mercy endures forever;
The Psalms were written in the night and day prayer-to-music movement that David began in Israel. Many of the Psalms have a clear "call and response", or antiphonal, nature to them. Antiphonal means "opposing voices.". To understand why the Psalms, or songs of prayer, are written this way, you really have to know why David organized the tabernacle of night and day worship the way he did.
David was mimicking the government of God on earth. God's decrees go out by voluntary agreement. God desires, others see His desire, share in it, declare it, and then God releases the power to do it. Ever since creation this has been true:
Genesis 1:2The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
4And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
5God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
There are three persons present in this account: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three in one, all voluntarily in agreement and submitted to the will of the Father. Only the Father knows the fullness of where and when God's desire is taking creation:
Mark 13:32“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
In the creation account, Jesus was declaring what He knew the Father wanted:
John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
When Jesus gave voice to the desire of the Father, the Holy Spirit moved in power to accomplish the desire...the hovering Spirit of God moved to accomplish the desire of the Father, but only after agreement was given. This is the way the government of God works...it is a family government operated in desire...desire expressed with words of agreement with the Father's desire...set to music! This makes God's government antiphonal. There is a call and response that is clearly expressed around the throne:
Revelation 4:4Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.
5And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.
7The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.
8The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
“Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”
9Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,
10the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
11“You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
Revelation 5:8Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
9And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
10And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
11Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,
This is the way God's government is going to come to earth...as the people of God desire it to come and express it with their words and songs in unity, called " David's Tabernacle". This is VERY intense. Jesus is the forerunner of the return of the Father's government to earth, and He is coming to judge the earth's lack of desire for the Father's government...it's lack of agreement with the way the Father's government works in voluntary agreement that God is good and the sole rightful leader of the earth.
What this means is that, in the end, Jesus is going to have a company of people who sing and pray for His judgments to manifest on the earth. This will make the earth actually hate the people of God as much as they hate God's judgments!! If you don't learn to love God's judgments, you will hate them, as well.
The Church, therefore, needs to get ready to love the judgments the people of the earth hate! Woe to the many who proclaim God would never judge the people of the earth...He is COMING to judge the very lack of agreement with His goodness the people of the earth are choosing...in the church first, then in the world:
1 Peter 4:16Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.
17For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
18Now
“If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
The Church that makes it to the end will be the Church that learns to desire holiness and part with rebellion, then declare the very goodness of the judgment, and in so doing, release the power of the Holy Spirit in not just judging the lack of Godly agreement in the earth, but also protecting those in agreement with the antiphonal government of God. This will all happen to music...day and night:
Psalm 149:1Praise the LORD!
Sing to the LORD a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.
2Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
4For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation.
5Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
6Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
7To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
8To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
9To execute on them the written judgment—
This honor have all His saints.
Praise the LORD!
It's fashionable to believe that God is only doing what we would perceive to be "good" or "nice" and that the devil does the things we perceive to be negative. This is a massive distortion of truth. God is doing what is true, and anyone who disagrees with what He is doing will find themselves fighting God as He comes to be the sole ruler of the earth forever. Many who claim to love Jesus want to escape the hour the earth will see the release of judgment, but the truth is, the true Bride will not just be here for it...she will speak and sing her desire of it, and it will be released at the sound of her voice.
Are you ready for this?!
Psalm 110:5The Lord is at Your right hand;
He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.
6He shall judge among the nations,
He shall fill the places with dead bodies,
He shall execute the heads of many countries.
7He shall drink of the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He shall lift up the head.
Revelation 9:20But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
21And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
For His mercy endures forever—
8The sun to rule by day,
For His mercy endures forever;
9The moon and stars to rule by night,
For His mercy endures forever.
10To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,

For His mercy endures forever;
