Triune
When God made man, He made him to have God inside. God is triune: Father, Spirit, and Son. God made man triune...in the image of God. People are three in one: spirit, soul, and body. People were made to have God's Spirit joined to their own. This is how life happens:
Genesis 2:7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
That word for breath is nashama, which means Spirit. God breathed his own self...his Spirit... Into Adam and THAT made what is earthly come alive. Adam was supposed to live in a family relationship with God forever. God won't occupy second place, though. Adam chose to take the reins of his own life when he ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil...he decided it would be better to be like God than to let God lead him into the knowledge of good and evil forever. Death began by a breaking of the relationship between God and man. For love, God allowed the relationship to be violated. God did not make us prisoners to perfect. We have to choose it.
A choice to live is what Jesus paid for on Good Friday with his own death. Jesus paid the cost of the violation of the connection to our life source. Adam had a perfect connection to God, yet violated it by wanting more than he percieved God had given... more than the flesh he had been given to live in. Adam, in a fit of greed, tried to elevate himself and brought all of mankind crashing down to death. Jesus reversed this curse by walking in the opposite spirit.
Jesus IS God and set aside divine privilege to walk out an earthly existence without ever violating the leadership of an unseen Father. Jesus voluntarily took on flesh and walked it out, to the death, without ever violating that leadership. Jesus was the only man to ever die who, according to righteousness, should have never died. Jesus' death was infinitely unjust:
Matthew 26:38Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”
39He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
After the resurrection, Jesus came and delivered what He paid for to his friends...he breathed the Holy Spirit back into them. For the first time since they had been born, they were alive. For the first time, they were able to connect the leadership of their lives directly back to God with no intermediary.... No religious structure holding them back.
John 20:22And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the point of Jesus' death and resurrection. Eternal life can only happen when a person is entwined with the eternal source of life. In this hour, there is emerging a company of people who will believe this to such an extent that they will cast off all other leadership...self leadership, the leadership of men, the leadership of the culture...they will cast it off and abide in the singular leadership of the Holy Spirit growing more and more like Jesus...becoming true sons and daughters. They are called a "pure and spotless" Bride. This will make the entire church that chooses it like a family instead of a corporation.
Satan likes the corporate structure in the church. He can enthrone himself if he can build a top down tower. Satan likes religion. That is why he invents so many.
Man likes religion, too. Religion makes formulas and structures to replace the reach and the risk taking of following an invisible man, by the still small voice of the neshama inside of you! Religion is the comfortable expression of desire. Religion is lukewarm...a mixture.
Jesus paid for the Spirit to break the stronghold of religion, which could never produce life, but only highlight what the Spirit would like to do...really highlighting the depth of death religion without the Holy Spirit offers:
1 Corinthians 3:1Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you?
2You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men;
3clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
4And we have such trust through Christ toward God.
5Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,
6who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2 Corinthians 3:15But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.
16Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
17Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Freedom is what it will take to see the Bride emerge in this hour. Freedom from sin, but also freedom from fear and freedom from the structure and formulas religious church has come to make sacred. Jesus is breaking down this structure...overturning the tables, so to speak...in the church even now. Jesus is cleansing the church of the "trading" that caused Lucifer to fall...the trading of power for loyalty.
Ezekiel 28:18“You defiled your sanctuaries
By the multitude of your iniquities,
By the iniquity of your trading;
Therefore I brought fire from your midst;
It devoured you,
And I turned you to ashes upon the earth
In the sight of all who saw you.
Trading defiles the sanctuary. Trading power for loyalty...or trusting and loving the structure of church over the spirit inside the person...has defiled sanctuaries for centuries. That is all coming to an end even as I speak. This will be very hard on the religious church that is passing away...but the religious church must pass away for the pure and spotless Bride to come forward.
Religion isn't just hiding in the old denominations. Religion is filling even the parts of the church that claim to be free of religion. Religion is found anywhere leaders are elevated over people. What keeps religion in place is fear and false promotion. Fear on the part of the leaders of losing prominence among men. Fear on the part of people of losing opportunity among leaders. The false promotion of people who are depending on other people for what they believe they have earned. Religion always expresses itself in what has been "earned." But, the Spirit is free...you can't earn what Spirit gives. You can't put in your time to get what is free. You can't know the right people and get what the Holy Spirit gives to those solely loyal to Him. You can trick people, but you can't trick God.
The Bride will operate in freedom. She will not be bought with promises of promotion...she won't be quiet for fear of loss. She won't find her own place in the authority structures that don't reflect individual abiding. The Bride will put little value on what men can do, and all value on what the Father is saying to her...inside...
To lead the church into this, God has appointed servants:
Ephesians 4:11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
13till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
15but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
This is called by many the "fivefold ministry"... Right now, for the first time since Acts, it is emerging, and simultaneously being counterfeited. You can distinguish the real by its fruit...what it acts like, taste like, and produces in those who eat it.
The fivefold is a temporary servant status UNTIL the body learns to be sons and daughters individually and collectively. The true fivefold should emphasize the body and not the leadership structure...the true fivefold doesn't espouse it's own religious structure as superior. Instead, It sets itself to dismantling religious structure. The fivefold...the real one...has a goal: to press the church to the place where they no longer need the fivefold!! The fivefold... The real one...longs for the day when there is no longer a fivefold!
The truefive fold...apostles, pastors, prophets, evangelists, and teachers... The true ones are trying to help the body not need them. The true fivefold sees nothing in titles and everything in identity.
The true fivefold doesn't conform to the existing system because they "paid into" the existing system. The truefive fold cares to earn nothing. It doesn't "pay it's dues"... It gives. The truefive fold doesn't invest in people. It freely gives expecting nothing earthly in return. It shuns honor from men, just like Jesus...the perfect apostolic, prophetic, evangelizing, teaching, shepherding example!
John 5:41“I do not receive honor from men.
Mark 10:17Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”
18So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.
The true fivefold is longing for no system...no trading. God is no respector of persons. The true fivefold is not either..in fact the true fivefold speaks against seeking identity IN that very same fivefold!!
2 Corinthians 11:12But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast.
13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
Right now, on resurrection Sunday 2016, I choose to truly value what Jesus paid for: a family that are all anointed, called, chosen...operating in the power of the Holy Spirit. Abiding in Jesus and not in people. Dismantling religious structures...even those that claim to be free of religion. I want to learn to embrace servant-hearted leadership. I want to actively speak truth in love against the celebrity culture so prevalent in the church.
We should realize the hour we are in...the hour that the false will emerge in the church like no other time... And we should care more about Jesus and his warnings...we should love those who do not know... So that as many could be safe as possible. If you actually take up the true fivefold message the Bible is telling, you can expect to lose lots of approval with the structures that are being dismantled. However, what you will get is approval from the Chief Apostle, the One who's approval will matter forever. It's what He paid for.
Revelation 2:2“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;
Genesis 2:7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
