The Way of Love
God wouldn't do it this way if it wasn't the best way. I don't know much, but I know one thing for sure: God is love, and mankind mostly does not understand love. For love, God doesn't violate free will...He has a brilliant plan to get as many to choose love as possible before it's too late.
The final expression of love...the grand finale... The complete revelation of the Man's heart who is love, who is God... is seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls. This is the very plan that will extract a great harvest from the world even as it produces a great falling away of those already proclaiming love for Jesus...but not growing in a commitment to walk out His return.
As in the days of Noah, the same flood that destroyed life on the earth raised up Noah's relatively little boat...because he believed in love. He obeyed the weird command of God to build a boat on dry land. If you love Him, obey Him.
Make peace with Him now, while there is time.
Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
The greatest testing of love (tribulation) is...right now... producing the greatest company of lovers. Many are getting sifted in, or out of, being end time lovers of God...right now! What is happening to you? Are you studying His plan to return more, are you making a principled stand for His holy truth...or are you sliding into more and more, the world's desperation for someone else to make things right. Do you look for another?
People will do all sorts of intense things for love. Love extracts a principled stand to agree with the object of love. Just basic fallen man's weak expressions of love will cause them to go against the grain, and cast off other opinions for a real burning love. Right now, many believe in their own commitment to love God, like Peter in Gethsemane who THOUGHT a lot about His own love for Jesus... but missed the point of love.
Much of the proclaimed love for God in this hour sounds like Peter...it has the bravado, and asserts itself as pure....but, it lacks the principled "I don't care what the world says, Im in love And no one can take my eyes off of my beloved and what HE is saying" passion that marks real love. Real love costs. Real love stays awake. Real love listens...real love studies and proclaims the details of the plans of the beloved and then puts them into action. Real love doesn't focus on the one proclaiming it...it is driven by the desire of the object of love. Whatever the loved one wants, says, values or does...that is the focus of the truly lovesick.
The end time tribulation will take seven divided churches...the full expression of the church in our hour... and press and refine her into one spotless Bride.
Many reading these words will actually quit in this time period, still believing they love Him (Like Peter in Gethsemane) because they would not believe what love said about obedience, watching and praying, but rather wanted all the benefits of love without the commitment, obedience, and searching for truth.
Someone truly in love is unwilling to be unknowing about the object of their love's plans.
Matthew 22:1 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: 2“The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, 3“and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 4“Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’ 5“But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. 6“And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. 7“But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9‘Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ 10“So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11“But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12“So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13“Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ 14“For many are called, but few are chosen.”
