Lack of Prayer

The problem is not a lack of weapons in church meetings. The problem is a lack of power in church meetings, which really means a lack of prayer in churches. The fear of the Lord is being lifted off the church. Guns won't bring the fear of the Lord, only the fear of man...a snare.

Proverbs 29:25The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

We need the fear of the Lord:

Acts 5:10Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband.
11So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.
12And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch.
13Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly.
14And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,
15so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.
16Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

Eventually we will all be offered up to tribulation if we stay faithful. Not to out-gun it, but to be refined in it...to hone what I really believe and who I really follow. If I sow to the flesh, that is what I will reap...more death. If I sow to the Spirit, I'll reap a harvest of righteousness.

Galatians 6:7Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
9And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Fighting back an invisible enemy with fear and guns isn't Jesus' heart...it's Satan's. He would prefer to keep his kingdom and his strongholds:

2 Corinthians 10:3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
6and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
7Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ’s, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ’s, even so we are Christ’s

The fear of the Lord is being lifted from the church, because there is so little power in it. There is so little power because there is so little actual choosing of Jesus as an actual solution to anything practical.

Everyone gets the strength of the thing they pick to worship.

I am praying for the church

Matthew 24:37“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38“For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39“and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Revelation 3:8“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
9“Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
10“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
11“Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
