Distraction

I hear the Lord saying "do not get distracted from the time of judgment at hand.

Many will suffer needlessly because they would not consider the work of the be Lord in the Earth. Gather together now in prayer and sober worship that you might be hidden in the days that are coming upon the Earth."

This is one of the more challenging times I ever experienced in my life for a variety of reasons, but the Lord keeps bringing me back to the simplicity of clearly stating what the Bible makes clear: judgment is unfolding on the Earth.

He says don't get distracted. Delusion is being given to those who do not want to see trouble. Try to see the Bible being lived out on the earth. Watch and pray. Distraction is a pit and a snare right now. Get right with the Lord and enjoy the fruits of being sanctified...satisfaction, and fearlessness, and readiness to meet the Lord.

Joel 2:11The LORD gives voice before His army,

For His camp is very great;

For strong is the One who executes His word.

For the day of the LORD is great and very terrible;

Who can endure it?

12“Now, therefore,” says the LORD,

“Turn to Me with all your heart,

With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”

13So rend your heart, and not your garments;

Return to the LORD your God,

For He is gracious and merciful,

Slow to anger, and of great kindness;

And He relents from doing harm.

14Who knows if He will turn and relent,

And leave a blessing behind Him—

A grain offering and a drink offering

For the LORD your God?

15Blow the trumpet in Zion,

Consecrate a fast,

Call a sacred assembly;

16Gather the people,

Sanctify the congregation,

Assemble the elders,

Gather the children and nursing babes;

Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber,

And the bride from her dressing room.

17Let the priests, who minister to the LORD,

Weep between the porch and the altar;

Let them say, “Spare Your people, O LORD,

And do not give Your heritage to reproach,

That the nations should rule over them.

Why should they say among the peoples,

‘Where is their God?’ ”

18Then the LORD will be zealous for His land,

And pity His people.

Zephaniah 2:1Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together,

O undesirable nation,

2Before the decree is issued,

Or the day passes like chaff,

Before the LORD’s fierce anger comes upon you,

Before the day of the LORD’s anger comes upon you!

3Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth,

Who have upheld His justice.

Seek righteousness, seek humility.

It may be that you will be hidden

In the day of the LORD’s anger.

Many are going from sandcastle to sandcastle hoping the floodwaters and the storms will quit washing away their foundation. There is only one rock to build on right now. No other ground is high enough.

Matthew 7:23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

24“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

25“and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:

27“and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
