The Antichrist
When does the antichrist BECOME the antichrist?
I hear the question fairly often: when does the antichrist become the antichrist? Does he know he is the person his whole life? The Bible is actually clear on this answer. The antichrist chooses to be the antichrist when he chooses to try to be the messiah to Israel.
Israel has a messiah…invisible Jesus. But, for lack of belief in Jesus of Nazareth, she is still waiting for a man to come and rescue her from oppression. Jesus is the man who will ultimately bring peace to Israel…He is the only Prince of Peace. No true peace is possible without Jesus. BUT, the Bible is clear that a man is coming who will promise to protect Israel for 7-years…He will be the one credited with making peace. This peace is false, and he is only doing it to control Israel, not because he loves her. He will break the peace agreement, invade Israel, and set up a statue of himself in the new Temple, exactly half way into 7-year treaty…42 months…3.5 years…times, time, and a half of time:
Daniel 9:27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate."
Jesus said when this happens, all of Judea needs to get out of town. This will be worse than Hitler’s persecution of the Jews:
Matthew 24:15-16 "Therefore when you see the 'ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), (16) "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
The antichrist won’t overtly be hating Jesus…He will be overtly attempting to REPLACE Jesus…he will try to be a tangible alternative to Jesus, the invisible messiah. The world will start to think he might even be a messiah. This will set off an instant division worldwide.
I am not trying to be dramatic, but this is a warning: On the day a man brokers a 7-year peace treaty for Israel…promising to protect her, trying to be a messiah to her, he will become the antichrist and it will almost OVERNIGHT make Christians “enemies of the state.”
It will soon after be illegal to be a Christian, because Christians will be seen as hate mongers when they start to say “the one you think is a messiah is actually the antichrist.” The whole globe will respond “Christians are the only ones who hate peace.” This is what stands before the last generation: am I willing to stand for the truth of the Bible, or will I be silent and let the world wander into confusion and agreement with the one the Bible promised would come? Now, when the pressure is off, is a good time to decide where I will stand, because the heat is going to a boiling point almost instantly when this happens. It will happen. I think it will happen soon… I could be wrong…but either way, it will happen.
The laws are in place for this right now. US Homeland Security already views “radical” (read COMMITTED) Christians as likely terrorist cells. This will happen so quickly it will surprise and offend many who are not ready for it.
While the world is claiming “peace peace! He did it. This man is wonderful” quickly after they will see the true face of this man. He hates Israel and he is bent on dominating people, not freeing them. Sudden destruction will come upon them:
1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. (3) For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (4) But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
God calls the soon-coming peace agreement a “covenant with death,” the man they are trusting to be their messiah hates them. antichrist openly conspires with those that hate Israel and his own country, yet Israel will put their trust in him to protect them. Those who trust in the REAL Messiah…the cornerstone the builders rejected…they will have patience to know the world will get true peace through the true Messiah and His plans. We are supposed to know this and be ready to stand for truth:
Isaiah 28:14-19 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, (15) Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves." (16) Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily. (17) Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place. (18) Your covenant with death will be annulled, And your agreement with Sheol will not stand; When the overflowing scourge passes through, Then you will be trampled down by it. (19) As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report."
It will be incredibly intense..again, I believe soon…but those who are wise will SHINE!!
Daniel 12:1-4 "At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. (2) And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. (3) Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. (4) "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."
