Test the Spirit You Think Is Effectively Punishing the Wicked

We reap what we sow.

If we sow to accusation, pointing the finger, spreading impatience, anger, discouragement or hopelessness... That is certainly what we will reap.

God isn't calling anyone to sow impatiently.  He is inviting the meek and humble to shine as lights in darkness, not shout at the darkness to stop being darkness.

The wine of accusation tastes good going down, but it never satisfies... It won't change the trajectory of my soul.

What changes me forever is to see the wisdom of God's plans, how He isn't depending on mankind to "the get it together."

The true Church KNOWS man acting better is not God's goal.  God's desire is that we simply behold the Son and become transformed...

God invites me to learn to love that not everyone, especially in the Church, wants God.  Very few want to live a life laid down, though everyone preaches it.

What I feed my soul on determines how I grow.  It's true, many are falling away.  The foolish fight that reality. The wise see the beauty in Jesus getting a pure and spotless bride.

God isn't fighting the falling away, He is orchestrating it.  The falling away results in a pure spotless Bride.  What remains after the tares are removed is a glorious harvest. 

God orchestrates the falling away because His son deserves a companion not shouted into compliance, but one that leaves everything else to follow Him voluntarily.

God doesn't think like man.  If we really want to please Him, we need to learn to see like God.

Man "being saved" isn't the center-point of the Gospel, Jesus ruling, and all the life that brings to all of creation, is.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-17 NLT — This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth. As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation—a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth. He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.

Resisting God's plans, erroneously believing that is more loving than agreeing with God, IS the falling away. Lawlessness comes as an angel of light.  The arrogant think their intentions determine their obedience.  The humble understand all of their heart is crooked.  Because every human soul is inherently corrupt, obedience precedes rightly understood intentions.

We don't need to shout one another into righteousness. We are invited to shine what true righteousness is. 

Few will.

Philippians 2:14-15 NKJV — Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

God himself doesn't buy what many are selling in His name.

* A mocking tone

* Sarcasm

* Self righteousness

* An impatient tone

* Hopelessness

* Discouragement

* Indignation

We are never called to represent God in these ways.  Our gentleness is what we should be know by. The Lord is at hand.

Philippians 4:4-8 NKJV — Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

False shepherds are more concerned than God is about the sheep.

Test the Spirits. God will hold you accountable for what you agreed with, liked, loved, and propagated on social media.

1 John 4:1-6 NKJV — Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
