Words Move Heaven
My words move heaven. When I "set my heart" to a purpose that agrees with God, and move my lips and extend my voice into the earth's atmosphere, unseen spiritual shifting occurs...every time:
Daniel 10: 11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. 12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
Jesus spoke and the world we live in was created:
Genesis 1: 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
In fact, before Jesus was born to Mary, He is the Word:
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
The picture of creation in Genesis 1 and John 1 is so powerful, because it not only describes the unity of God, the three-in-one, but it also describes our role as Jesus' body on earth.
The Father has the plan in full:
Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
Jesus gives voice to the Father's plan. He literally speaks it into creation, and then the Holy Spirit, the literal power of God in the earth, fills the word with power and the thing is done! The Holy Spirit is "hovering" over the unfinished work waiting to hear Jesus' voice on earth...my voice, and your voice:
Genesis 1:2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
The Father wills it, Jesus speaks it, the Holy Spirit does it, all in such perfect unity they are the three-in-one!
So where do I come in...why do my words matter?
John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one
This combination of words spoken by Jesus is the most glorious combination of words I have ever seen! This is Jesus' invitation into the unity that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit experience. It is too glorious to really even believe at first, but it is what Jesus prayed for. It is His desire! This is truth!
This was God's intention from the beginning: a royal family...to be with us. This is why He made man. This is why Jesus was willing to become a man, the firstborn of many. This is why He is coming soon to bring His physical kingdom to earth ...Immanuel ...God with us! The devil risked it all, and lost, just to get what God lavishes on us for free!
This is glorious for our future, but also very important for our present Our words move heaven because our words on earth are Jesus' words:
Ephesians 1:19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Paul said Jesus is the head, and we are the body. This means my mouth is Jesus' mouth when I set my heart and speak in agreement with God's plan on the earth. It is my identity in Jesus that moves the power of the Holy Spirit, that is why Jesus said "ask in my name":
John 16:26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you;
This is why the words "in Jesus' name" are essential when petitioning heaven.
Our words really matter. In a kingdom built on Jesus' words, we, His mouth on earth and His bride, have been given incomprehensible privilege in bearing the Name of our Name: Jesus.
For 21 days, Daniel, who didn't have the name of Jesus, was moving heaven, and about to move earth, with His words in agreement with God. For 21 days Daniel prayed and nothing seemed to happen, but he was moving huge things in heaven way before He ever saw any results.
Today I want to pray with Faith that my words are Jesus' words and even though I may not see it right now, they are actually moving things seen and unseen! In Jesus' name, Amen.
Psalm 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men
