Victory

For 30 days in the near future, everyone who is saved by Jesus will take part in the greatest and most terrifying victory procession the world has ever seen. News coverage of this procession will be continuous. Everyone in the world who has rebelled against Jesus and chosen the antichrist's man-centered plan over the previously invisible Jesus will look on as Jesus physically marches from Edom (present day Jordan) into Jerusalem over 30 days:


Psalms 68:24-32 Your procession has come into view, O God— the procession of my God and King as he goes into the sanctuary. Singers are in front, musicians behind; between them are young women playing tambourines. Praise God, all you people of Israel; praise the Lord , the source of Israel’s life. Look, the little tribe of Benjamin leads the way. Then comes a great throng of rulers from Judah and all the rulers of Zebulun and Naphtali. Summon your might, O God. Display your power, O God, as you have in the past. The kings of the earth are bringing tribute to your Temple in Jerusalem. Rebuke these enemy nations— these wild animals lurking in the reeds, this herd of bulls among the weaker calves. Make them bring bars of silver in humble tribute. Scatter the nations that delight in war. Let Egypt come with gifts of precious metals ; let Ethiopia bow in submission to God. Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth. Sing praises to the Lord. Interlude


This passage describes the last 30 days of the Great Tribulation. The last 30 days of the Great Tribulation will be the greatest demonstration of the great and terrible aspects of the "day of the Lord." The Bible says that on one day, all the nations of the world will begin changing leadership from those against God and Jesus to those who will be servants of Jesus. This one day, called the Day of the Lord, will start the greatest revolution in the history of the world. This will not be a peaceful revolution. Jesus is coming to make war on every enemy of love. The last 30 days of the antichrist system will be the most intense time in human history.


This last month begins with Jesus appearing in the sky, coming on the clouds of heaven. 40 days after Jesus raised himself from the dead, He went up to heaven through the clouds. As He physically floated away, two angels came and told His friends He would come back the same way:


Acts 1:9-11 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”


Jesus said it would look like this when He came back:


Matthew 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.


The "tribes of the earth" are those who have chosen the antichrist's promise of provision and social justice, and all of the wickedness tied up in this man-centered plan. Those who have chosen Jesus are not of the earth (Hebrews 11:38), we will not mourn His coming, for us it will be the greatest day ever. This is the day everyone who has chosen to put their trust in the invisible Jesus will be shown to be wise. This is the day we get new bodies that will never die!


I Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.


This is the rapture, which will happen at the 7th (the last) trumpet of Revelation. In the Bible, trumpet calls are a call to arms...a call for the army to assemble to fight. The 7 trumpets of Revelation will be a call to the most glorious battle ever. When Israel went into battle, God often had them lead with the worshipers. This must have made the Israelite army the weirdest looking army in the world, but they never lost when the singers and musicians went first.


Jesus' battle at this time will be the greatest dancing and singing parade of terror ever associated with Israel. This stuff is so intense! The night and day worshiping Church, who will have pressed into God with worship globally day and night for several years, will realize they have been warming up for this amazing 30 day performance. For many years David’s rebuilt tabernacle worship movement will have pressed into God and agreed with Him in prayer, calling on Him for justice. When Jesus finally returns, we will break into the most intense worship ever seen! This is glorious!


For 30 days, in new glorified bodies, we will march into Jerusalem with our King. The route Jesus takes will come in from the southeast, eventually reaching the Mount of Olives (a hill really), from which we will look across the valley from the temple mount. This is where Jesus spent that Matthew 24 afternoon with His disciples, explaining to them all that would happen in our generation….explaining to them the victory parade He had already prophetically seen! He told them He would defeat the antichrist Himself as He gazed on the spot where that victory will actually take place. When the victory procession reaches this spot on the Mount of Olives, and Jesus places His feet at the summit, an earthquake happens, and the hill splits in two:


Zechariah 14:4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.


Then Jesus will lead the procession into Jerusalem, right to the Temple mount, where the antichrist has been demanding to be worshiped, killing those who refuse. Then the uncreated Jesus will ascend the temple mount and come face to face with this created man who has terrorized the nations for 3.5 years. When Jesus faces the antichrist, He defeats Him without ever lifting a finger. Jesus simply reveals His bright glory, breathes on the antichrist, and poof...the antichrist falls!:


II Thessalonians 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.


From that day on, everyone who belongs to Jesus will take up residence in the city of mansions...the New Jerusalem. This city descends out of the sky and hovers over the earthly Jerusalem for 1,000 years, as we work with Jesus to renew the earth back to what God called "very good" in Genesis 1...God with man in a lush green safe earth! We will live in the home constructed for us by Jesus, and go out to work in the earth with Jesus. Heaven will not be boring!


Revelation 5:9-10 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."


John 14:2-3 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.


Revelation 21:10-11 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.


Everyone who has rebelled against God, and agreed with the antichrist system is bound in hell for a 1,000 years. Unlike the New Jerusalem, hell is hot and dry. It is like the county jail, holding those who have chosen to reject love…reject Jesus’ leadership, and have instead chosen satan's leadership. But, hell isn't as bad as the final destination for satan and those who have chosen his leadership, for the final holding place for them is the lake of fire. According to the Bible, to not chose Jesus is to chose satan. We will dwell with whichever leader we choose forever.


Revelation 20:13-15 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.


As intense and bizarre as these events sound, they are sure to happen. Just as on one day Jesus came as a baby, He WILL return as a king. He is coming to make war on everything that hinders love. He will release people who rebel against love…who rebel against Him…to judgment for 3.5 years in an all-out effort to try to get them to change their mind before it is too late. Everyone will eventually get what they choose.

Psalms 47:1-9 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. He will subdue the peoples under us, And the nations under our feet. He will choose our inheritance for us, The excellence of Jacob whom He loves. Selah God has gone up with a shout, The LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. The princes of the people have gathered together, The people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is greatly exalted.
