Broke The Mold

When God made you, He broke the mold! There is no one else who has ever been like you. Not another set of fingerprints, eyes, and cheeks were arranged like yours. Even more so, there has never been another mind that considers information like yours, or an emotional mix quite like yours. There has never been anyone like you, and there never will be. You are the one and only you!

Tons of self-help books and practices have emerged in the earth. They all promise the same thing: heart and life change. Self-help books and programs promise every heart the same result if you will just consider the information they are offering. This is impossible. Reading a book or going to a meeting might get you excited for a moment, but there is only one person that can change a heart...the one who designed it, in all its intricacies, in the first place:

Psalms 33:13-15 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.

Only Jesus knows my heart well enough to change it. It was, in fact Jesus, the Word, that spoke me into existence:

John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.

Beholding the light of the author of life shines light on the dark spots within me. Just peering harder into the dark doesn't illuminate anything! Talking to the one who made me, seeing how He feels about me and then listening for His direction is what changes my heart. Looking within myself will not tell me nearly as much as talking to the one who made me. I was made to talk to Jesus!

God made me to be in a running conversation with Him. Because I am uniquely made, only I can give God attention like mine. I think of a huge box of Crayola crayons, all unique colors. I am the only one who carries the shade Jesus assigned to me. Only I can bring Him my color. If I withhold my attention from Him, there is no where else it can come from, by His design! He is the most interesting person to ever exist, yet He desires to talk to you, that He would develop who you are, the color He assigned you, so He could enjoy your ever increasing beauty! He wants to know you and for you to know Him, not because of what you can do for Him, but because of what He wants to do for you!

Psalms 139:12-18 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.
