The Hour that Demands a Response
The generation we live in is called the "Generation of Jacob" in the Bible. Jacob was the one who responded...who wrestled with God...to receive the blessing in the same place he saw heaven open. That is who God is looking for now, not one Jacob, but a generation that will wrestle their way through the truth of what is coming, knowing it is truly from God and not man...knowing the character of God to bless those who have a true vision of who He is and will not relent in wrestling until they get the blessing.
David put this all together by the Spirit. David declared the generation that responded like Jacob to trouble...with persistence in faith... would open heaven and see the king of glory come back to the garden. These are the ancient gates: the gates of the heart that open and usher in an opening of heaven:
Psalms 24:3-10 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord ? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord , And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. By the signs of the times, THIS is the generation you were born into! You are a part of the people who have witnessed some of the most amazing prophecies fulfilled the earth has EVER witnessed.
The biggest sign of the return of the Messiah happened when Israel became a country in 1948 after not being a country for 1800 years. This had never happened before. Isaiah prophesied it would happen in ONE day...which it did on Pentecost 1948. This is one of the biggest prophetic fulfillments to ever occur. This began an incredible increase in intensity, the birthpangs, toward the return of Jesus. This was like God saying "it is time for the process which leads to delivery to begin." Simultaneously, what rose up in the earth...specifically in the USA? A DISTRACTION born out of the blessing of prosperity God had provided to make space for the country to spend more time fasting and praying. The 1950s were one the most prosperous decades for our country, and, rather than seeing the amazing thing God was doing and fasting and praying for the return of the Lord, the earth mostly turned its attention to building the "good life" here. Satan introduced a massive consumeristic spirit intended to take the attention of the Bride off the amazing thing God had initiated and supplied the resources to enter into with more time set apart to fasting and prayer, and the USA fell for satan’s distraction .
Then, 1967 came and Israel retook the city of Jerusalem. This was another necessary and huge fulfillment of prophecy. Rather than take this as confirmation that God WAS, in fact, doing this end time thing and refocusing on the hour at hand, many in the late 1960s were focused on the war in Vietnam and the counter culture movement rising up. Free love took the place of the hunger for holiness. The generation that came of age in the 1960s declared they wouldn't "trust anyone over 30", a direct assault on God's intended turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers that should have accompanied such a significant prophetic confirmation of what God was doing in the earth. This was another direct attack on God's end time plan the USA took hook, line, and sinker:
Malachi 4:4-6 “Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord . And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
Simultaneously, knowledge increased at this same time in leaps and bounds with the onset of the technical revolution. The internet, first tested in the 1960s, was another MAJOR prophetic sign:
Daniel 12:1-4 "At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Everyone who is found written in the book. Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."
All of creation, for 2,500 years, longed to see the days that we entered into in the 1960s. We are supposed to be certain of the generation we live in and respond with repentance, wholehearted fasting and prayer that would usher in…agree with and hasten…the return of Jesus. Paul told the church to not be like the rest of the world, unaware of what was coming. Peter agreed and said that the way we live in the hour assigned to us would HASTEN the return of Jesus:
1 Thessalonians 5:1-8 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
2 Peter 3:10-12 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
The distractions of the enemy…a misuse of economic might, a redirection of knowledge, and a casting off of God’s leadership in the 1960s…resulted in an ENTIRE national misdirection.
America, rather than seeing the hour, humbling ourselves and turning to God with fasting and praying in the Sermon on the Mount lifestyle, took the wealth and the increase of knowledge and built the ultimate tower of Babel...using human strength and knowledge to send men out above the heavens. The Apollo moon landing program concluded on December 19, 1972. The focus was not on God and the amazing end of the age He is clearly ushering in, but rather, the greatness of man..particularly, the greatness of the United States. This is the Spirit of Babel..the harlotry that God paused in Genesis 11…restarted in the USA:
Genesis 11:1-8 Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth." But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the LORD said, "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." The USA made a name for itself by being the first to conquer the moon, but what gain is it to gain the world and lose your own soul? What has followed since 1972 has been a series of successive waves of trouble…economic trouble, war trouble, Israel trouble, natural disaster trouble. This was the initial judgment of God on the harlot Babylon. After each wave of correction, did we repent? NO, instead, time after time, we have claimed we will “rise up”, picking up the pieces after each wave of judgment…building a little better, making some new laws to avoid more of the corruption (Enron), loosening our moral standards to keep more people happy. Political correctness as an effort to stem disunity...sowing man based plans and reaping the man-based fruit...what we have gained is simple sand that is slipping through our hands. All the while, satan, through a massive government system, keeps propping up the house of cards by financial maneuvering meant to keep the masses buying as a distraction...”as long as I can buy that new car...as long as I can hope for that house, send the kids to college, go online and check the 401k...everything is still ok."
This distraction is causing the vast majority of Christians to miss the very return of the Messiah. Most have no idea what to even look for in order to gauge the hour.
Everything is not ok. Our normal is a delusion. Our very way of life is an agreement with the corruption of the earth. The American experience is unsustainable. You cannot heap up in one place and not be a participant in the starvation in another. Just because you cannot see the starving and oppressed masses everyday doesn't mean you aren't responsible. Satan divides and distracts our country over this very issue: the left claims we need a man to redistribute the wealth, the right claims greed will cause equality to increase…ugh…it is a false argument based on two lies.
The world doesn’t need communism OR capitalism. The world DESPERATELY needs a savior.
The world desperately needs a redistribution of the resources. But there is only one man worthy to own all the resources of the earth…all the power…all the military might…Only ONE man, the Man Christ Jesus who is ALL ABOUT return in this hour is worthy to own the Title Deed ..the scroll…to the earth:
Revelation 5:2-12 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?" And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."

The world desperately needs a savior, which requires the response…the prayers of the saints filling the bowls to overflowing.
This is true repentance, starting with the Church, instead of more platitudes and God’s people paying a little more in the offering plate for someone else to do something about the increasing trouble.
God wants the generation that will respond...all the way. God is looking for someone…anyone…to believe the signs they are seeing and to say: no matter the cost, I will stand…with my heart and soul, my time and my money, trading MY dreams for the next 10 or 20 years and adopting Jesus’ dream.
Jesus is executing the dream of HIS heart in this hour. He is looking for anyone to see that and respond.
Jesus is coming back to this generation. How many will he find that believe it so much they will cast aside the American dream and go after the dream in His heart. Practically, this is the minimum it would look like: studying His plans like they would for college or they would work to get ahead at the office. Giving away their money as diligently and as regularly as they have stored it in the 401k, fasting and praying as excitedly as they take vacations...planning to fast and pray as diligently as they would plan that next big vacation. Getting a vision for the next 10 years that includes TRIBULATION rather than continuing to picture a better life BEFORE Jesus comes back to the planet. Let me say this clearly...by the signs that are screaming the return of Jesus on earth: Jesus is not wanting you to worry about your new car, house, retirement plan, future husband, future wife, career development, dream vacation… Jesus is wanting His people to be ALL ABOUT getting ready to ENDURE the years ahead, not for His sake, but rather for your own sake.
“Prepare to agree with the intense thing Jesus is doing” is what the Spirit is saying to the Church in this late hour. According to the Bible, this takes the same intention Americans tend to put towards obtaining the rest of "these things." This is not new Bible teaching. This is what Jesus has always said:
Matthew 6:31-34 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
We are in the days of increasing trouble. Glory...increasing glory...is available if I will contend for it like my life depends on it. My life, and the life of my family, really does depend on it. The trouble is guaranteed to be the worst trouble earth has ever seen. Consider the trouble the earth has seen in the last 100 years…Nazi German, Stalin’s Russia, Rwanda…Somalia..Daniel was told that even worse is coming. This is the time to respond like Jacob...to wrestle through the trouble and persist for the blessing. But you have to have a vision in your eye of what is really transpiring. If you err in vision, you will draw on the wrong Spirit...instead of opening heaven, you will open more darkness into your life:
Matthew 6:22-23 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
Right now, those who respond "all in" spend their time, their money, their fasting, and their prayers getting a vision for exactly what God is doing. Those that are doing this right now are those choosing to be the Jacob Generation. Right now, many in the Church are resisting the Jacobs, saying things like “no one knows the day or the hour.” What would Paul say to those who take His very words and turn them into an accusation of the very ones agreeing with Paul? What does Jesus say? Jesus said “no one knows the day or the hour” as a warning to ALWAYS be prepared, not as an excuse to do nothing! The Jacobs look silly now, but there is a day of reckoning coming. Isaiah promised those who would enter in to the response of the hour…the Jacobs…would be the ones left standing.
Isaiah 29:9-24 Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; They stagger, but not with intoxicating drink. For the LORD has poured out on you The spirit of deep sleep, And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, namely, the seers.
The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying, "Read this, please." And he says, "I cannot, for it is sealed." Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, "Read this, please." And he says, "I am not literate." Therefore the Lord said: "Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden."

All those who complain WILL learn doctrine. Not by studying, but the hard way, by suffering the consequences of their hard hearts. Listen to the warning of the Lord for the Generation of Jacob. Now is the hour to repent and respond…to find out doctrine the easy way, instead of the hard way. Learning the fear of the Lord from the truth of His word manifesting before you is what is required, rather than relying on the dull and sleeping teachers who captivate the people with promises of earthly increase.

Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth." Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!"
The world desperately needs a savior, which requires the response…the prayers of the saints filling the bowls to overflowing.
This is true repentance, starting with the Church, instead of more platitudes and God’s people paying a little more in the offering plate for someone else to do something about the increasing trouble.
God wants the generation that will respond...all the way. God is looking for someone…anyone…to believe the signs they are seeing and to say: no matter the cost, I will stand…with my heart and soul, my time and my money, trading MY dreams for the next 10 or 20 years and adopting Jesus’ dream.
Jesus is executing the dream of HIS heart in this hour. He is looking for anyone to see that and respond.
Jesus is coming back to this generation. How many will he find that believe it so much they will cast aside the American dream and go after the dream in His heart. Practically, this is the minimum it would look like: studying His plans like they would for college or they would work to get ahead at the office. Giving away their money as diligently and as regularly as they have stored it in the 401k, fasting and praying as excitedly as they take vacations...planning to fast and pray as diligently as they would plan that next big vacation. Getting a vision for the next 10 years that includes TRIBULATION rather than continuing to picture a better life BEFORE Jesus comes back to the planet. Let me say this clearly...by the signs that are screaming the return of Jesus on earth: Jesus is not wanting you to worry about your new car, house, retirement plan, future husband, future wife, career development, dream vacation… Jesus is wanting His people to be ALL ABOUT getting ready to ENDURE the years ahead, not for His sake, but rather for your own sake.
“Prepare to agree with the intense thing Jesus is doing” is what the Spirit is saying to the Church in this late hour. According to the Bible, this takes the same intention Americans tend to put towards obtaining the rest of "these things." This is not new Bible teaching. This is what Jesus has always said:
Matthew 6:31-34 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
We are in the days of increasing trouble. Glory...increasing glory...is available if I will contend for it like my life depends on it. My life, and the life of my family, really does depend on it. The trouble is guaranteed to be the worst trouble earth has ever seen. Consider the trouble the earth has seen in the last 100 years…Nazi German, Stalin’s Russia, Rwanda…Somalia..Daniel was told that even worse is coming. This is the time to respond like Jacob...to wrestle through the trouble and persist for the blessing. But you have to have a vision in your eye of what is really transpiring. If you err in vision, you will draw on the wrong Spirit...instead of opening heaven, you will open more darkness into your life:
Matthew 6:22-23 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
Right now, those who respond "all in" spend their time, their money, their fasting, and their prayers getting a vision for exactly what God is doing. Those that are doing this right now are those choosing to be the Jacob Generation. Right now, many in the Church are resisting the Jacobs, saying things like “no one knows the day or the hour.” What would Paul say to those who take His very words and turn them into an accusation of the very ones agreeing with Paul? What does Jesus say? Jesus said “no one knows the day or the hour” as a warning to ALWAYS be prepared, not as an excuse to do nothing! The Jacobs look silly now, but there is a day of reckoning coming. Isaiah promised those who would enter in to the response of the hour…the Jacobs…would be the ones left standing.
Isaiah 29:9-24 Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; They stagger, but not with intoxicating drink. For the LORD has poured out on you The spirit of deep sleep, And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, namely, the seers.
The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying, "Read this, please." And he says, "I cannot, for it is sealed." Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, "Read this, please." And he says, "I am not literate." Therefore the Lord said: "Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden."
Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the LORD, And their works are in the dark; They say, "Who sees us?" and, "Who knows us?" Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; For shall the thing made say of him who made it, "He did not make me"? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it, "He has no understanding"? Is it not yet a very little while Till Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, And the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest? In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
The humble also shall increase their joy in the LORD, And the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel. For the terrible one is brought to nothing, The scornful one is consumed, And all who watch for iniquity are cut off—Who make a man an offender by a word, And lay a snare for him who reproves in the gate, And turn aside the just by empty words. Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: "Jacob shall not now be ashamed, Nor shall his face now grow pale; But when he sees his children, The work of My hands, in his midst, They will hallow My name, And hallow the Holy One of Jacob, And fear the God of Israel. These also who erred in spirit will come to understanding, And those who complained will learn doctrine."
All those who complain WILL learn doctrine. Not by studying, but the hard way, by suffering the consequences of their hard hearts. Listen to the warning of the Lord for the Generation of Jacob. Now is the hour to repent and respond…to find out doctrine the easy way, instead of the hard way. Learning the fear of the Lord from the truth of His word manifesting before you is what is required, rather than relying on the dull and sleeping teachers who captivate the people with promises of earthly increase.
