Seeds

Every word that God speaks is the seed of a promise. Faith allows that seed to be planted in your heart where it can grow and you can reap the harvest of the promise. The deeper you let it go, the more it can grow.

Unbelief is rejection of that seed. God GENERALLY will not force even good things upon us without our agreement. Unbelief hardens our heart and prevents the seed from finding a place to take root.

Every promise is "yes and amen" from the Sower, but God has made us for relationship, so the soil gets a say, too!

Yes Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief!

Matthew 13:58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Matthew 17:18-20 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Mark 9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

If you look for reasons to disbelieve that this really is the return of Jesus unfolding all around you, you will miss out on the harvest every true believer has longed to take part in for the last 2,000 years. They believed...and they reaped, even in the early time. Unbelief now will cost many people an inheritance that was promised to them. Jesus' return is not a spectator event. It REQUIRES participation. For those not actively and intentionally participating, it will be like a thief came to them and stole true eternal wealth.

Matthew 24:37-43 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

It is important to know the plan and the timing of the events, because a major part of participating in belief is declaring the plans at the right times:

Matthew 24:45-51 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

"Unbelievers" are hypocrites, according to Jesus:

Luke 12:46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

All of creation has longed to see this hour because they knew there was much to do. Do you?
