Exodus
Regarding October through December 2015, I hear the Lord saying that what will come this fall is a sort of "Exodus" for the humble.
The Exodus story is glorious and difficult. It is both. It required a response. This Psalm will find expression in the midst of America's labor this fall:
Psalm 66:1 To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm.
Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
2 Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
3Say to God,
“How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
4All the earth shall worship You
And sing praises to You;
They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah
5 Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
6He turned the sea into dry land;
They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.
7He rules by His power forever;
His eyes observe the nations;
Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
8Oh, bless our God, you peoples!
And make the voice of His praise to be heard,
9Who keeps our soul among the living,
And does not allow our feet to be moved.
10 For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined.
11 You brought us into the net;
You laid affliction on our backs.
12 You have caused men to ride over our heads;
We went through fire and through water;
But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.
The Exodus required a risk. The slavery of Egypt was a mirage of comfort many did not want to risk losing.
Exodus 16:3 And the children of Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
4Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.
Faith will be tested in a dramatic way this fall. Many will come out of the desires of materialism and into the dream in Jesus' heart as they see Babylon stumble and teeter. This is a contraction, not the delivery. Events and intensity will build as the return of Jesus draws closer. The hearts of the earth must be prepared to receive her king. This is the labor pain of the coming kingdom. If you can't discern the contractions, you will be wholly unprepared for the delivery.
1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
A massive contraction is coming from October 4th to the 14th and it will bear the fruit of night and day prayer by December. The point of the contraction is to herald...to focus us on...the delivery. The delivery is from the materialism that is literally stealing the future of Jesus' end time Bride.
I hear the Lord saying you don't need to be wealthy to be materialistic. You don’t need to actually have a storehouse to falsely believe and desire a storehouse to save you. Materialism is idolatry, as it is the act of making the storehouse your God....trusting it will not fail to satisfy you, feed you, entertain you, or define your life. This idol will totter as Babylon sways back and forth:
Isaiah 41:6 Everyone helped his neighbor,
And said to his brother,
“Be of good courage!”
7So the craftsman encouraged the goldsmith;
He who smooths with the hammer inspired him who strikes the anvil,
Saying, “It is ready for the soldering”;
Then he fastened it with pegs,
That it might not totter.
Be careful of those "encouragers" who promise that the idols of comfort in America will not fall. They certainly will. Jesus will not occupy second place. The point of the shaking is to find those who will voluntarily make the Lord their strength...those that will cling to him.
Jeremiah 13:10 This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, who follow the dictates of their hearts, and walk after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be just like this sash which is profitable for nothing.
11‘For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,’ says the LORD, ‘that they may become My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’
12“Therefore you shall speak to them this word: ‘Thus says the LORD God of Israel: “Every bottle shall be filled with wine.” ’ And they will say to you, ‘Do we not certainly know that every bottle will be filled with wine?’
13“Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD: “Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land—even the kings who sit on David’s throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem—with drunkenness!
14“And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together,” says the LORD. “I will not pity nor spare nor have mercy, but will destroy them.” ’ ”
15 Hear and give ear:
Do not be proud,
For the LORD has spoken.
16 Give glory to the LORD your God
Before He causes darkness,
And before your feet stumble
On the dark mountains,
And while you are looking for light,
He turns it into the shadow of death
And makes it dense darkness.
17 But if you will not hear it,
My soul will weep in secret for your pride;
My eyes will weep bitterly
And run down with tears,
Because the LORD’s flock has been taken captive.
If you respond now, this fall will be uniquely glorious for you. If you hang onto the quickly fading comfort, you will totter with that which you cling to.
