Resistance

Satan will always attack the exact area where God is establishing. God allows the attack in controlled and limited ways to strengthen you for the weight of what He is establishing!! Getting insight into the way the enemy is used of God helps us flow in confidence...not to accept the attacks from our enemy but to resist them in confidence that we will prevail!

Everything God makes gets stronger with use, including your faith.

Satan is not a force equal and opposite to God. Satan is created, limited...finite. Anything less than infinite is infinitely less. Satan is no match for God.

Because Satan is so outgunned, he is very careful in the use of his resources...he can't afford not to be. If Satan is resisting a certain area of your heart, your body, your family, your church, or your city, it is because he sees God establishing something there and satan is fighting with all he can to resist Jesus' kingdom coming. Jesus, in brilliant superiority, allows Satan limited access in order to prepare us...to grow our strength....to bear our role in partnering with His great power.

Look for the areas of resistance as places to press harder, to exercise your faith and practice the use of kingdom authority....not as places to lay aside until the trouble dies down... and, as the flimsy walls of resistance satan is hastily constructing come down, you will see God quickly establish strongholds of the kingdom, and your own strength will grow to operate in these strongholds.

Many people feel oppressed in one area of temptation, or certain relationships, or in certain long-running illness. Resist the enemy and he will flee:

James 4:6But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say,

“God opposes the proud

but favors the humble.”

7So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

This is a guarantee...the question is: how long must I resist? The answer is: exactly long enough to bear the weight of the victory...the longer the wait, the greater the weight. The harder the fight, the more brilliant the breakthrough will be.

Satan reveals much in simply what he spends HIS time on.

What you resist today will be easier to resist tomorrow. What you give in to today will only be harder to resist tomorrow.

You can easily outlast Satan if you keep your eyes on God inside of you. You have an infinite source of strength inside of you, if the Holy Spirit is there. Satan yells and screams to get you to think he is infinite in strength...but the truth is he is barely hanging on...some other area of his stolen kingdom is lacking as he resists you...he is finite in power...

God generally won't violate your mind will and emotion to give you victory. If you are willing to change your mind and will, God will change your Emotion and as you feel victory in the air, you will break through and move forward.

Why not today?

Hebrews 12:10For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.

11No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

12So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees.

13Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.

Ephesians 6:10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

13Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
