Loving Judgement
Excited to talk this morning about learning to love the judgments of God...specifically the seals, trumpets, and bowls of Revelation 6 to 16... At New City Church in Kalamazoo. Many will be offended by Jesus because they didn't learn to understand, and learn to love, the very intense things Jesus is going to do to prepare the earth to receive Him:
Luke 7:23“And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”
24When the messengers of John had departed, He began to speak to the multitudes concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
25“But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings’ courts.
26“But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
27“This is he of whom it is written:
‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You.’
John the Baptist stood with Jesus in the intense truth of His plans. Jesus called this spiritual violence.
Matthew 11:11“Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
Spiritual violence is required for the kingdom to be taken back from the false rulers of this age, but many teach, and subscribe to, spiritual pacifism. Pacifism in this hour is disloyal to the king who is actively leading the charge against darkness.
Jesus is judging darkness by letting it mature! Never taking a stand on the GOODNESS of Jesus' judgments causes people to be confused about them.
If your husband has a good, yet much maligned, plan, and you never let yourself get involved in defending it, you are not a partner with your spouse! Jesus has an amazing plan to reach the most people at the deepest heart level in one generation without ever violating anyone's free will. The plans are detailed in the Bible, and VERY intense...every stroke of His plan is an expression of His love, yet must be learned... Must be desired! Satan is battling against the plans of Jesus by calling them evil...in the Church! Yet, those who desire them will sing them out and release them in the last hour of this age of rebellion:
Psalm 149:4For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation.
5Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
6Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
7To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
8To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
9To execute on them the written judgment—
This honor have all His saints.
This one of the least taught truths in the modern Church, but getting ahold of it now, while there is time, will make many safe! Humility doesn't whitewash Jesus' intense truths. Humility agrees with God. God has a lot to say about judgment, and so should we...in love!
Worship starts at 11:00.
