Hidden Trouble

The hidden nature of the trouble coming:

Jeremiah 4:7The lion has come up from his thicket,

And the destroyer of nations is on his way.

He has gone forth from his place

To make your land desolate.

Your cities will be laid waste,

Without inhabitant.

8For this, clothe yourself with sackcloth,

Lament and wail.

For the fierce anger of the LORD

Has not turned back from us.

9“And it shall come to pass in that day,” says the LORD,

“That the heart of the king shall perish,

And the heart of the princes;

The priests shall be astonished,

And the prophets shall wonder.”

The end time trouble comes up "like a lion from a thicket"

What does this mean? It means what is coming to eat you up, comes hidden.

Many think "nothing seems to be happening," yet, what does the Lord say? Have you taken the time to ask Him? Or, do you presume he has nothing to say since there seems to be nothing to see?

There is more happening right now towards the return of Jesus than at any other time I have watched, yet almost none of it is easy to find. Much of it no longer is making it to the news, and a lot of it requires an intentional searching of the Bible to make sense of it. Few actually care enough to look. This is not the conversation the church is having. That doesn't mean it isn't the most important conversation to be having!!

Matthew 26:33Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.”

34Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

Peter wouldn't listen to Jesus about the future and the present...instead he imagined, based on what he saw, an entirely wrong future and present.

You have the Holy Spirit in you...you are supposed to talk to, and hear, God. What is he saying? There is coming a time, and the time is even here now, when the news will paint a picture of delusion...it will mislead many:

2 Thessalonians 2:10and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

12that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

From the context of this passage, Paul isn't just describing unbelievers...he is describing believers who don't "watch"... Watching happens in prayer...

"God, what is happening that I cannot see?"

Matthew 26:37And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.

38Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”

39He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

40Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What? Could you not watch with Me one hour?

41“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.”

43And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.

44So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

45Then He came to His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

46“Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.”

The same thing that happened to Jesus...betrayal...is coming to His Bride...the end time church. You are supposed to know when this is about to happen. Do you see it about to break?

Matthew 24:8“All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10“And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

11“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

12“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

13“But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Many who refused to watch in the initial season...watching the news and praying...are now unready to watch mostly by praying and fitting in the pieces of the news. It is right to watch the news and try to connect it to the Bible, all this time you were supposed to be growing in your ability to do this so that as the news became less reliable, your understanding of what must happen and your hearing of the spirit became MORE reliable. Much of the false information will come from those who claim to know Jesus!!:

Matthew 24:23“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.

24“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

25“See, I have told you beforehand.

It's not too late, but soon will be. Soon, all of the watching will be with the eyes of the Spirit and ears the Spirit gives:

Revelation 2:7“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” ’

It's tempting to think "nothing is happening" ...if that is your thought, what is informing you?...what your natural eyes see and your natural ears hear? This will not work. Ask Jesus "what are you doing?"... "What is the hour?"..." What should I be doing to get ready for your return?"

It's coming at you like a flood...I believe in about 14 months a time of trouble unlike the earth has ever seen will break across the earth, and before that...in the summer of 2016, great divisions and betrayal within the church. How are you getting your kids ready for that? You don't ever get ready too early, only too late...

Matthew 24:44“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

45“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

46“Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.

47“Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.

48“But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’

49“and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,

50“the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,

51“and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

To be "cut in two" is to be divided.

1 Peter 4:17For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

18Now

“If the righteous one is scarcely saved,

Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”

Matthew 24:36“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

37“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

38“For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,

39“and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

You are supposed to know when these things unfold:

1 Thessalonians 5:1But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.

2For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

3For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

4But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

5You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

6Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

7For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

8But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

We are literally sprinting towards trouble...can you feel it? Watch and pray. The Spirit is willing...the flesh is weak. Which are you hearing? Which are you heeding?
