Positivity

In many places, positivity is masquerading as faith. Positivity is often counter to faith. Faith walks hand in hand with truth.

Jesus never lacked faith...not once... Yet he allowed himself to be deeply distressed and sorrowful.

Mark 14:33And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed.

34Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”

35He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.

Jesus was often negative regarding the future of those rebelling against humility:

Luke 6:24“But woe to you who are rich,

For you have received your consolation.

25Woe to you who are full,

For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now,

For you shall mourn and weep.

26Woe to you when all men speak well of you,

For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Jesus didn't try to see the best in people...he saw people in the light of truth, and spoke truth in love to them, and this made some people mad:

John 5:14Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”

15The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

This is the truth: many are, in the name of Jesus, resisting His very return to earth by teaching lies about what Jesus will and will not do. In arrogance, they have written their idea of what is "good" (mostly their own comfort, wealth, and earthly success) over the very word of God...what He calls good (his kingdom superimposing over the fallen comforts and power structures of the earth in great turmoil), no one can overrule. Yet, many in arrogance claim they know God better than His word reveals...all in His name...woe...

Isaiah 5:19That say, “Let Him make speed and hasten His work,

That we may see it;

And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come,

That we may know it.”

20Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;

Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,

And prudent in their own sight!

This arrogance is exactly what is being judged in Jesus' return...the irony is very thick. This is the very thing the Pharisees missed as John the Baptist warned them of Jesus....warned them....about Jesus coming:

Matthew 3:9“and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

10“And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

11“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

12“His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

13Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.

Jesus LIKED John's message ...

God is not ashamed of His judgments. They are righteous. Much of the world outside of the US is in panic right now as unprecedented calamity is washing in wave after wave out...yet the church in the West stands in increasing delusion of positivity... Believing if she acknowledges the truth, her faith will be lost. This actually reveals where her faith is placed: on her own positivity and not the very intense, hard to wrestle through, word of God. Her faith in positivity will evaporate in a moment...because it isn't solid....is isn't based on a real future...like Peter's faith in Peter as he told Jesus he was willing to die that night as they walked to Gethsemane, yet hours later denied he even knew Jesus.

It is time the Church acknowledge the story the Bible is telling in this hour and, rather than find three verses to negate the hundreds telling the true story, allow herself to get adjusted to where the river of the word is taking the Church.

Finding one or two verses to counter the very story the verses are taken from is akin to saying I am blue because you found my eyes to be blue. You might like blue rather than my actual skin color, but if you described me as blue to someone who had never met me, and then they went to find me ... looking for a blue man...they would never actually find me. Many will never find the God of the Bible simply because many claiming to know Him describe Him to others much differently than He is.

Many who preach positivity as faith don't realize what they are stealing from those listening to them is HOPE....HOPE is born from learning to glory in tribulation:

Romans 5:3And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;

4and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

5Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Great offense is what false positivity is actually teaching...as the trouble unfolds, and false faith evaporates...all that is left is hopelessness, offense, betrayal, and falling away....

Jeremiah 23:20The anger of the LORD will not turn back

Until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart.

In the latter days you will understand it perfectly.

21“I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran.

I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

22But if they had stood in My counsel,

And had caused My people to hear My words,

Then they would have turned them from their evil way

And from the evil of their doings.

It's time to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so God can actually help us change. Staying the same is what got us here anyway...

Matthew 24:8“All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10“And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

11“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

12“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

13“But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

14“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
