Unity
There is only one true unity, and it has Jesus in the center.
Right now, in the mix of tragedy and pain, there will be major moves for unity. Some will be true and some will be false. True unity is centered on getting Jesus' truth and his emotions for what is happening...gazing on the throne puts Him in the center.
False unity unites around anything other than growing in greater loyalty to Jesus. Those who resist false unity will be called names, seen as divisive, and seen as the trouble makers. It is really important to decide right now where you fall, because your forever future is in the balance. I hear a lot of talk of "uniting" and "standing as one" and almost none of it is connected to loving Jesus more. Be VERY careful in this hour.
This is the only real unity there is:
1. Loyal to the word, and the world's hatred follows
2. Separated...sanctified...in loyalty to Jesus
3. Gathered together as Jesus becomes the ONE goal
4. Unified with those first believers and those persecuted through the ages
5. Filled with glory, like in Acts 2
John 17:9-22 "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. 20 "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
Many will claim to be "Christian" in this hour and will kill true Christians in the name of false unity. Fighting back as the world fights is not an option and is what Jesus would call "stumbling". We need to use weapons of prayer and worship. The answer is to grow in power, like we see in Acts 2:
John 16:1-4 "These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. 3 And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. 4 But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. "And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.
Jesus is returning soon, but there will be tribulation as that unfolds. You need to be ready if you plan to stay loyal to Jesus. Many will fall away:
Matthew 24:8-14 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
This MUST happen. You are literally watching it in real time. This was basic and common doctrine in Paul's day...he spoke of it often:
2 Thessalonians 2:1-8 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
Watch for FALSE UNITY. There are two end time unities: the Bride will unite in truth, and the harlot will unite in everything else.
