Mourning

Matthew 24:30“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31“And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The return of Jesus produces mourning....it is supposed to. Mourning is the gateway to repentance and change. Because God chose love, He chose VOLUNTARY submission to truth that begins with mourning our lack of agreement with truth.
All of the judgments, as they are released, are an invitation to mourn, not to despair. Despair is hopeless...mourning has a promise attached to it. Many will wait until the last minute to mourn, and thus minimize the reward. Don't wait to mourn....to repent...to change your mind about what is true and what is happening.
Matthew 5:3“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
I hear the Lord say that many are starting to realize they may have been wrong about Jesus' return. Embrace that and mourn it. Being made aware of our spiritual poverty is a gift because it is an invitation to mourn it. We've all been wrong about His return. Mourn it...change...and receive the blessing of that very mourning....morning is the cry of the humbled, and the humble will be rewarded.
Matthew 23:12“And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
13“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
Digging in in pride will make Jesus's return a thief to you...it will steal your greatness forever. Throw your self upon the rock and be broken....don't wait for it to crush you.
Matthew 21:42Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:
‘The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone.
This was the LORD’s doing,
And it is marvelous in our eyes’ ?
43“Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.
44“And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”
This is an end time statement, in its appropriate context:
Daniel 2:34“You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.
35“Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
36“This is the dream. Now we will tell the interpretation of it before the king.
Daniel 2:44“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

45“Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.”
