Greatness
A true culture of honor intentionally moves honor to the least...it doesn't preserve and circulate honor among those already honored. Many simply trade honor amongst each other...this is not a culture of honor, it is an honor preservation system.∆
Jesus' body is an upside down pyramid (V), where everyone gets life from the one who died first, greatness is at the bottom, among the very few really willing to die to themselves. The pinnacle is sacrifice and death to self in Jesus' holy mountain.
John 15:13“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
In the kingdom coming, the meek are brought up...The base is honored, not the pinnacle.
1 Corinthians 12:21And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
22No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.
23And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty,
24but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it,
25that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
The pyramid of Egypt and the Tower of Babel ∆ honor the few at the top. This pyramid will be crushed and ground to dust by Jesus' kingdom values emerging into the earth (V)
Daniel 2:31“You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome.
32“This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze,
33“its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.
34“You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.
35“Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
We live in the hour a great transition is taking place....the value system of heaven is superimposing itself on the power structures of the earth. It starts in the Church.
1 Peter 4:17For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Many who have proclaimed their own position will be humbled in this hour. The way to be safe...to actually get honor... Is to climb down...to put others over you and serve. To try and give them the very thing you desire...this will get you elevated in the kingdom coming. So many will lose crowns in the turbulence of this hour.
Revelation 3:11“Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
Wedding parables are necessarily end time analogies:
Luke 14:8“When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him;
9“and he who invited you and him come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you begin with shame to take the lowest place.
10“But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you.
11“For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
