Christians will be Counted as Criminals
I usually say "I'm making a spiritual statement, not a political one."
At this point I am making both:
This is bad politics for Christians. The entire argument is beginning to turn to the 'lunacy of Christians unwilling to objectively consider facts.'. There is a lot of truth to the accusation...on both sides. No one is objectively considering the facts! Christians are supposed to come out of this and love the truth:
2 Thessalonians 2:9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The response of 'Christians' thus far is that the other side does the same and that justifies digging in (whichever side you are on...not all Christians are conservative). Actual Christians are supposed to be better at dealing with truth, and less afraid of considering all the facts.
I watch both Fox and CNN. If I just watched CNN, I would get an untrue picture of what is happening. If I just watched Fox? The same. Truth is falling in the streets.
We have to rise above politics and see the enemies schemes. If you are a believer, right now would be a great time to start bracing yourself for the worst backlash the church has ever seen.
It won't matter if you are a conservative or a liberal...if you name the name of Jesus and intend to stay loyal to that name, brace yourself to be counted a criminal with the other side.
Matthew 24:9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
10 “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
1 1“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
12 “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
13 “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Angry mobs ready to blame Christians for the ills of society aren't going to ask to see your voting record. You are about to be lumped in with always- trumpers AND never trumpers.
That is a very bad place to be according to the Bible. We need to repent for where we have made any political stance our strength, where we have asked men to do what only God can do (save the unborn, protect the church, bring righteousness, save the climate, defeat our enemies...), and come out of Babylon.
No matter who wins this current struggle, one thing is for sure: the other side is going to be in the streets and aiming at bad "Christians". There is no good way this is going down...especially for unrepentant 'Christians.'
