The Cares of This Life Are A Snare In the Shaking of All Things

The cares of this life are a snare in the days leading up to the return of Yeshua.

The cares of this life are a great temptation BECAUSE of the shaking of everything shakeable. The more God reveals instability in the world, the more tempted we are to shore up what seems unstable.
This is what it means to fail the test coming upon the whole earth.
We have to find the one stable thing.
A new day is dawning. Noah preached righteousness to an entire generation by doing something so otherworldly!
Luke 17:26-30 NKJV — “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: “They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. “Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; “but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. “Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
Mary found the one thing required when she sat at the feet of Yeshua. Martha was worried about so many things. They were both responding to Yeshua's presence! That should be so sobering to us! We can be entirely busy doing everything but the one thing (yes, picture the rich young ruler).
Luke 10:38-42 NKJV — Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. “But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
The truth is, the earth has a spiritual problem that is resulting in physical symptoms. It's much easier to focus on what we think we can control than focus on the One who is willing to be our Lord over all. We can afford to sit at His feet and listen to Him speak.
At just the right moment, Mary poured everything she had on the feet of her savior. It will never be forgotten. She knew what to do, because she knew Him.
John 12:2-8 NKJV — There they made Him a supper; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with Him. Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it. But Jesus said, “Let her alone; she has kept this for the day of My burial. “For the poor you have with you always, but Me you do not have always.”
Right now, the wisest thing a person could do is find the one thing required, and never taken away.
It isn't 'church'
It isn't 'worship'
It isn't 'prayer'
It isn't 'serving'
All of these can be done without finding the one thing.
The one thing is sitting at His feet. Every other good thing flows from this. You find His feet when you find this throne. You find His throne when you find His presence. If you truly find His presence, you will find it with other people looking for the one thing.
Hebrews 10:19-25 NKJV — Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
This is why Samantha and I spend time daily in corporate prayer meetings to music: Yeshua likes one thing. It's not the prayer, it's not the music, it's not the effort, it's not the devotion... He doesn't need any of these things. These all flow from One Thing. It's Him.
When I spend time gazing at who He is, I find the one thing I need. So much flows from that one thing. He is so gloriously infinite, I can't see Him by myself. The elders worship when the Seraphim see. That's how the throne room works. Seeing God with others will either sanctify you or you will quit. God isn't looking for us to settle on a a unified, Babylonian, vision of Him... One language and one speech. No. He is piecing together a mosaic of our unique vision of Him. That requires humility. Humility is what is woefully missing from our world.
It's worth it to sit at His feet and ask him what He likes. He will tell you. He really will. Then, at just the right time, we will give Him everything because we spent time getting to know him in a place we didn't control... He did.
Much of our serving is unfortunately an expression of our attempt to control things. That is the one thing Yeshua came to deal with!
It's amazing that David... The only person anointed with the Holy Spirit, made a place for others to learn to prophesy.
David found the one thing and He knew it had to be a place he didn't control. He taught others to sit at the feet of Messiah, like he did.
1 Chronicles 25:1-7 NKJV — Moreover David and the captains of the army separated for the service some of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, stringed instruments, and cymbals. And the number of the skilled men performing their service was: Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied according to the order of the king. Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the LORD. Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth. All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to exalt his horn. For God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. All these were under the direction of their father for the music in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the authority of the king. So the number of them, with their brethren who were instructed in the songs of the LORD, all who were skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.
Mark 12:35-37 NKJV — Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? “For David himself said by the Holy Spirit:
‘The LORD said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’ “Therefore David himself calls Him ‘Lord’; how is He then his Son?” And the common people heard Him gladly.
