Increase
I hear the Lord saying that the coming year will see a great increase. There will be an increase in holiness, which will lead to an increase in authority, but there will also be a great increase in compromise, which will lead to greater depths of desolation. This will be marked tangibly by the greatest increase in division yet seen on earth, both in, and out of, the Church.
The light will get brighter than it has in recent history, and the dark deeper still. This is the "great and terrible" day of the Lord being developed before our eyes...like a photograph coming into sharper focus in the dark room.
This is the time to sift hearts and decide where you will take your stand. Those who stand for holiness will lead their families and friends into new depths and realms of the light. Those who wander with the herd into compromise will find themselves in the pens for slaughter.
This is the coming year of hard labor. What is built on truth will remain and glow brightly in the fire that will test all things. What is built in compromise will burn up quickly, and the black ashes and charred remains will be like soot on all around it.
The Lord says there is an ancient plan, and an ancient highway that will move all those who say yes to truth speedily into the lands of refuge.
Jeremiah 18:15 But my people are not so reliable, for they have deserted me; they burn incense to worthless idols. They have stumbled off the ancient highways and walk in muddy paths.
It is time to listen to the plan and decide for yourself what YOU believe. No one else's zeal can carry you through what is coming. No one else's insight will suffice. It must be YOUR zeal and YOUR understanding that fills your lamp. The oil necessary cannot be shared, it must be purchased. The stores will be closing as night falls.
Matthew 25:8-9 Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’ “But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’
Many will gather around those with oil, but you are called to be a bearer of light. This is the final season to fill the lamps. The labor is real. It requires a new determination to cast aside every obstacle. Those who press in to fill their lamps shall be unapologetic in their zeal in this season, and in response, the Lord shall be unapologetic in the way He uniquely marks them with authority.
This is the final season for the selecting of foundations. Doing, and not just hearing, the Sermon in the Mount is how you select the firm foundation that will make it through the storm. You must build with the whole Body, inviting even those refusing to build, but focused on the work of building itself. You must "show up for work" and "take part in the building." The storm will sweep away all those who haven't nailed their planks to the structure.
Many will refuse to listen and will continue to build for here, heaping up treasure on sand. There is one foundation. It is John 17. The building is Revelation 19:7. The work plan is the Sermon on the Mount. The construction teams are the local expressions of the Body, and the work site is the Joel 2 solemn assembly...the House of Prayer.
All other ground is sinking sand.
John 17:15, 20-21 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one...
... “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
Matthew 7:24-27 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
Joel 2:11-18 The Lord is at the head of the column. He leads them with a shout. This is his mighty army, and they follow his orders. The day of the Lord is an awesome, terrible thing. Who can possibly survive? That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. Who knows? Perhaps he will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing instead of this curse. Perhaps you will be able to offer grain and wine to the Lord your God as before. Blow the ram’s horn in Jerusalem! Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. Gather all the people— the elders, the children, and even the babies. Call the bridegroom from his quarters and the bride from her private room. Let the priests, who minister in the Lord ’s presence, stand and weep between the entry room to the Temple and the altar. Let them pray, “Spare your people, Lord ! Don’t let your special possession become an object of mockery. Don’t let them become a joke for unbelieving foreigners who say, ‘Has the God of Israel left them?’” Then the Lord will pity his people and jealously guard the honor of his land.
