The tribulation temple and false peace - Part 5
The peace negotiations in Israel are confusing for many people loyal to God. Many people simply hear the word "peace" in the same sentence as Israel and assume that this must be good and what God wants. God DOES want peace for Israel, but more than that, God wants agreement with Him and His desire, which will release peace globally. Because God is the fullness of every good thing, agreeing with Him and His ways...His presence and His leadership...opens the gate of the fullness of good to flood the earth. Any attempt at good apart from God is not only impossible, it is often evil. Evil isn't a force equal and opposite to good...evil is the absence of good...like cold is the absence of heat, or dark is the absence of light. Since God is the author of peace, true peace cannot actually be released on earth apart from agreement with God.
Often times mankind takes things into their own hands, doing what seems right in their own minds, rather than agreeing with God. God's ways sometimes make no sense from an earthly standpoint, but God doesn't see that as an excuse to throw off His leadership. This is what the tribulation is entirely about: Deciding in a final time of extreme intensity, whom will you trust in and agree with? The final wonderful global human leader, or the invisible Jesus?
The peace covenant in Israel is foretold in the Bible as the first decision to throw off God's leadership that mankind will make that will initiate the last 7 years of trouble, called the tribulation. The peace negotiations are NOT in agreement with God's desire that Israel would trust in God, and that the last global superpower would trust him, also. The peace negotiations represent, Biblically, two radical failures of faith: one failure on the part of Israel, and another failure on the part of the Harlot Babylon.
Right now, Israel is facing a time of POTENTIAL calamity. She can pick how she weathers this time. God has shown Himself strong enough times for her to trust Him. Despite countless efforts over the last several thousand years to literally exterminate Israel, there she stands, against all odds...miraculous victory after victory....deliverance after deliverance.
Anyone who doesn't believe God exists should just consider Israel for a minute. This relatively small group of people who live in a country smaller than the size of Rhode Island, have withstood the last 4,000 years of oppression...they have often thrived despite severe bigotry and genocide aimed at them. Numerous well organized attempts to literally wipe this people off of the globe have been carried out, unsuccessfully. But right now, she is once again in the center of a fiery furnace.
Israel is literally surrounded by people who hate her, and sharing the land with people who claim she has no right to exist. The favor of the world has mostly turned away from her again...only a slim few number of countries are willing to not stand against her, let alone stand for her. Over time she has come to rely on our country much too heavily. The United States, her one constant ally, has quietly become her protector. It is our promise of military aid to the Egyptians that made a peace treaty possible between Egypt and Israel back in the 70's. Our military aid has built a missile defense system without which Israel would have been battered with shells in the fall of 2012. We are the ones who have stood with her at the UN...we have made ourselves indispensible to our friend Israel, and she has slowly come to put her weight on our friendship. We have enjoyed many blessings simply by blessing Israel. This is God's promise that we have enjoyed for many decades:
Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
The 1950s, one of our most prosperous wholesome times, happened on the heels of President Truman interceding and making a way for Israel to return to her land. God poured out abundance and growth and goodness in the land in a unique way...but by the late 60s, we had grown tired of the Lord and cast him off...preferring "freedom" instead.
The US, in the wake of a youth movement that desired to cast off the restraints of a generation blessed after experiencing a terrifying yet victorious war, has quickly degraded. In only 60 years we have compromised our self control for lust. We compromised our sobriety for a new rampant drug culture. We compromised wholeness for glamor, and we threw off helping one another for government systems designed to let "the collective" care for our neighbors. We made "self" as important as God, and God, by and large, has given us what we wanted: rampant selfishness.
One thing we never really compromised, until very recently, was our commitment to Israel. Of course we had our moments where we lost our way, but by and large we remained steadfast, whether democrat or republican was in office, in making sure we stood with Israel...and despite our best efforts to hamstring ourselves, we have not yet fallen completely. But we have fallen significantly...just think about it for a second: we have been keeping ourselves afloat by literally borrowing 4 billion dollars a day. We ran out of creditors willing to loan us that kind of jack, so for about a year we have been printing 2.7 billion dollars a day. The rest of the world has followed suit, and the other central banks have been running their printing presses at rapid rates to keep up. We have created a global game of economic musical chairs...and no one is quite sure when the music will stop...but when it does, the whole global system is sure to collapse.
Random murder, especially within families, is a daily headline in our country. Sexual sin against children in America is at an all time high. Lust has become so rampant in our country that it has suddenly become normal that young pretty female school teachers, many of whom are married, prey on young boys in our schools. Many of our entertainers are openly claiming they are possessed by spirits. Even if they didn't declare it, it would still be pretty obvious. Entire cities have been found to be run by corrupt leaders, requiring mass firings of city leaders. School shootings monthly, random acts of workplace violenece....The entire country is upside down from where it was...but we haven't seen anything yet!
We have recently turned a MAJOR corner. The United States, has suddenly turned on Israel. We are actively conspiring to force her into a situation that is terrible for her. I have been writing about this for months, and much of it is too involved to recap effectively here, but we have promoted and given significant aid to the Muslim Brotherhood who is sworn to her destruction, forced Israel to submit to Turkey who attempted to break a military blockade of Gaza by sea, withdrawn significant military aid from Egypt, upon which Israel's peace treaty is predicated, and are now openly using negotiations with Iran to force Israel to make peace with Palestinians, give up land honestly gained, thatall the while promising to protect her for a certain length of time...talk about the fox watching the hen house...
Israel forgot her history, and put all of her weight on a reed, rather on the living God who has delivered her time and time again. The reed has just broken and is now piercing her hand:
II Kings 18:21 Now look! You are trusting in the staff of this broken reed, Egypt, on which if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.
We have politically openly been supporting her enemies and betraying Israel for over a year and a half...and she is just starting to figure out that she is trapped by us. All the while, we are severely declining ourselves...The truth is, all we are experiencing is born out of our rejection of God over the last 30 years, but we haven't even yet seen the cost for this new page of turning against Israel... that, according to the Bible, has yet to bear fruit. This is what God has prophesied over the Harlot Babylon:
Isaiah 47:5-11 “Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans (this is a reference to Babylon...the end time global superpower that forces Israel into peace and conspires with those that hate her and whose leader conspires with 10 regional kings that hate his own country is called the "Harlot Babylon"); For you shall no longer be called The Lady of Kingdoms. I was angry with My people; I have profaned My inheritance, And given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; On the elderly you laid your yoke very heavily. And you said, ‘I shall be a lady forever,’ So that you did not take these things to heart, Nor remember the latter end of them. “Therefore hear this now, you who are given to pleasures, Who dwell securely, Who say in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, Nor shall I know the loss of children’; But these two things shall come to you In a moment, in one day: The loss of children, and widowhood. They shall come upon you in their fullness Because of the multitude of your sorceries, For the great abundance of your enchantments. “For you have trusted in your wickedness; You have said, ‘No one sees me’; Your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you; And you have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me.’ Therefore evil shall come upon you; You shall not know from where it arises. And trouble shall fall upon you; You will not be able to put it off. And desolation shall come upon you suddenly, Which you shall not know.
