Watching
If you don't watch you won't see. If you don't see you won't pray. If you won't pray, I GUARANTEE you will not be ready. There is a war raging against knowing what to watch for.
Many are asleep, or even worse, actively attempting to quiet down the watchmen. Not paying attention to the trouble that is coming is a Biblical recipe for offense...offense leads to betrayal and falling away.
Matthew 24:9-13 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
We all need revelation to allow us to put on restraint. Restraining our lives will inform our expectations which will guard against falling away:
Proverbs 29:18 KJV Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
The end times are very simple, but they require a few things. First and foremost humility is required. Jesus is humble and if I want to agree with Him about His return, I really need to grow in humility, too. Humility isn't self deprecation, or pretending weakness. Humility is accurately seeing my role...
Humility is seeing, in truth, what I bring to the table and what God brings. I bring desire and obedience. God brings all the wisdom, revelation, anointing, and power...everything else. No one can step into my role or God's...humility simply recognizes that.
Many will try to be "God" to you. This is a function of the fallen nature of the world. You can't get down about this, but you have to resist it. Since the days of Jesus, people have tried to control others for their own elevation, or because they assumed that is what God wanted. My job is not to stop them, but rather to guard how I let myself see them and how I let people see me.
This is one of the highest expressions of humility: the fear of the Lord... making God's opinion more important than anyone else's. This is the only true way to guard yourself and others from manipulation:
Proverbs 22:4 True humility and fear of the lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.
Jesus said you are not to elevate yourself above others, or allow yourself to be elevated... you are just supposed to serve in relationship with HIM... and you serve best by loving Jesus more than the rest. That is abiding... valuing the conversation with Jesus above all others. If you don't abide in Jesus, you can not bear fruit.
John 15:5-7 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
Many will try to convince you to abide in them... to value their conversation with you even when it contradicts God's words to you. But, the Bible doesn't say this.
You are responsible to abide in Jesus and serve people in truth. If you let others determine for you what God is saying, you are abiding in them. Other people can help you, but their words cannot replace God's. When you fail to bear good fruit it will not be their fault, but yours. No one can force you to abide in your heart with anyone. You pick. Creation is designed this way.
This is one of the main truths that will be exposed in the coming years. There is a great shift coming to the Bride as the light of Jesus' glory shines on the motivations of people. You really want to agree with this passage:
Matthew 23:6-12 And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues. They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi.’ “Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters. And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father. And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah. The greatest among you must be a servant. But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
As Jesus shows up, I guarantee you are not going to assert your title... whatever it is... and you won't care a bit about anyone else's title. You are going to tremble at the site of Jesus...just like His best friend John did... and so am I. What Jesus was saying is "live like I am with you now... Learn to tremble in my glory now. Then you will approach that moment when your eye sees my glory in truth... you won't need to be corrected."
If you assert your leadership or title now, it really just means you are not aware of Jesus REAL presence. His real presence makes people fall down, not climb up over others.
He is present. If you aren't aware, It is like the little kid who pretends to be the boss while the mom is out of the room, even though she is peeking around the corner and listening...then she walks back in and the little kid acts rightly when he knows mom is watching.
Jesus IS watching. Many are in for the shock of their lives when He manifests His presence.
If you won't take it upon yourself to decrease, you are going to be humbled. If you humble yourself now, you will have a great reputation with Jesus. Are you really mostly interested in THAT? Jesus already knows either way, but the day will sort it out for you!
Jesus' return is synonymous with the return of LIGHT. It is uncovering every hidden thing. Satan is literally trying to keep everything quiet, because the earth must respond to Jesus' return in order to come in to His protection. Satan wants people exposed and unprotected. There is a limited amount of time to respond. For real:
Zephaniah 2:1-3 Gather together—yes, gather together, you shameless nation. Gather before judgment begins, before your time to repent is blown away like chaff. Act now, before the fierce fury of the lord falls and the terrible day of the lord's anger begins. Seek the lord , all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the lord will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.
That means there is a spiritual war raging over information... just like there was in the early days of the church. Satan can't keep people from choosing to agree with God, he can only scare others into not sharing information.
If you are trying to cover things up or keep them quiet, you are trying to control information that really doesn't belong to you. It is legitimate to control a meeting you have God-given authority over, but it is lawless to try to silence people that aren't legitimately obligated to your authority.
Pharisees try to shut people up so as to not upset the power structure that favors them. I don't say this in retaliation... I say it in love. If you won't humble yourself and simply let people do what God is telling them to do, you will be exposed in the coming light of Jesus' glory. Even the Pharisees were wise enough to sort this out:
Acts of the Apostles 5:28-29, 33-35, 38-39 NLT
“We gave you strict orders never again to teach in this man’s name!” he said. “Instead, you have filled all Jerusalem with your teaching about him, and you want to make us responsible for his death!” But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority....
...When they heard this, the high council was furious and decided to kill them. But one member, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, who was an expert in religious law and respected by all the people, stood up and ordered that the men be sent outside the council chamber for a while. Then he said to his colleagues, “Men of Israel, take care what you are planning to do to these men!...
...“So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown. But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!”
Humility is recognizing what I bring to the table and what God brings. God is raising up His Son's Bride right now. She will be pure and spotless and filled with glory...from the little toe to the top of her head. That means everyone who wants to is going to operate in great revelation and anointing. We should all get excited about that idea now and help others grow into it, not try to keep them from it.
There are not two classes of believers... there are not, in truth, leaders and people... according to Jesus, there are brothers and sisters... all members of one body mutually (that means both sides) submitted to each other BECAUSE they are firstly submitted to their father...just like any family. We all have roles, but one role is not superior to another:
I Corinthians 12:15-23 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty,
The church mostly doesn't operate this way, but listen: this is changing right now.
If the Bride is operating in glory..increasing light... her presence won't cover up, but rather uncover... her presence will bring light to truth.
If you don't humble yourself and start agreeing with this now... the day of the Lord... the return of Jesus will humble you:
I Corinthians 3:13-15 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
Many are asleep, or even worse, actively attempting to quiet down the watchmen. Not paying attention to the trouble that is coming is a Biblical recipe for offense...offense leads to betrayal and falling away.
